Vintage signed 5 x 4 promotional cardstock photograph of Bill Haley and his Comets, the image depicting Haley and his band in two rows together. Signed by Haley in black ink with his name alone to a light area at the head of the image, and also signed by all seven members of the Comets individually, including Franny Beecher (lead guitar), Johnny Kay (lead guitar), Billy Williamson (steel guitar), Al Rappa (bass), Johnny Grande (piano), Eddie Ward (drums), and one other. Martin & Co. "D-16GT Dreadnought" Steel String Acoustic Guitar With gloss finish spruce top and matt finish mahogany back and sides, 65cm scale length dot maker inlay rosewood fingerboard, with maker's hard case.The case measures 114cm longThe guitar is in good general condition having a straight neck, small amounts of fret wear and an action of 3.5mm measured between the fingerboard surface and the underside of the bass E string at the 12th fret. The guitar plays with clear string sounds and minimal fret buzz. The top is swelling slightly behind the bridge, typical of many Martin guitars. Some bridge pins are a bit chewed from use. There are some chips and dents to the top edge of the headstock as well as some light dents and marks to the top. The scratchplate shows some plectrum marks, some of which have escaped onto the spruce top at the bottom of the scratch plate.
