THE BOY FRIEND: Sandy Wilson (1924-2014) English composer and lyricist, best known for his musical The Boy Friend (1953). Signed 4.5 x 6 photograph of Wilson in a close-up head and shoulders profile pose. Signed in black ink with his name alone to the base of the image (the signature running over one which was originally executed in pale blue biro; Wilson evidently deciding the contrast was poor and opting for a second signature with a darker ink). With an A.L.S., Sandy Wilson, to the verso, in blue biro, n.p., n.d., to Mr. Wiggins, in part, ´Rather an old photograph, I´m afraid, but I have no up to date ones!´; Twiggy (1949- ) English model, actress and singer who starred in the British musical comedy film The Boy Friend (1971), based on Wilson´s musical. Two signed 10 x 8 photographs by Twiggy, the different images depicting her in costume as Polly Browne, performing dance routines, from The Boy Friend. Both are signed by Twiggy in blue fountain pen inks to clear areas of the images, and one is inscribed; Tommy Tune (1939- ) American actor, dancer and singer. Signed 10 x 7.5 photograph of Tune in a profile head and shoulders pose, in costume as Tommy, preparing to kiss Antonia Ellis, in costume as Maisie, during one of the musical numbers in The Boy Friend. Gift bookplate to ffep of the Marquess of Anglesey (Charles Paget) 1912, with later 1972 biro ownership inscription. Text in both French & English. A beautiful example of this uncommon edition of Napoleon's military maxims. 12mo. (1)

With four folding maps loosely inserted in pocket to rear, being Tribal Map of Arabia Ordnance Survey 1916, Arabia Land Surface Features, Arabia Orographical features, and Arabia - Disctrict and Towns; folded, remaining in very bright condition with just minor age-toning to edge. Loosely inserted, a mid century c1940s review of this work, 5 leaves manuscript in ink. A scarce First World War Admiralty produced map of the Arab regions. 8vo, maps measuring approx. 47cm x 38cm.
