A Thomas Yeates of Penrith Victorian longcase clock, with eight day movement and painted dial decorated with a foxhunting scene, the case with eagle finial and swans neck pediment with arched hood and turned columns, the trunk with inlay and raised on bracket feet, with weights and pendulum. Height 229 cm, width 52 cm, depth 25 cm (see illustration).
A Gustav Becker chinoiserie bracket clock, the top with brass handle and brass face with Roman numerals, the movement marked GB with crown and anchor. Height 30 cm, width 23 cm, depth 14 cm (see illustration). The clock case is generally in good order. There are light marks, scratches etc from age and related use. The left-hand column has missing gilding which appears to have flaked off. There is a deep scratch to the left-hand side at the base. There is a pendulum with the clock but we cannot get it to run.

(LWH 47 x 22.5 x 218cm), glass cracked.
Fine Swiss ormolu 8-day early 19th century Pendule d'Officer style clock c1820, circular double train ting-tang movement striking the quarters on a graduated pair of bells and sounding the hour on one, going train with a vertical platform lever escapement and over sprung balance, rack striking, with visible hour and quarter strike work to the backplate, movement unsigned, convex enamel dial with Roman numerals and steel moon hands behind a glazed gilt bezel, case with a scroll cast handle to the arched top with applied rococo decoration to the tympanum, both sides of the case adorned with a military trophy of arms motif and deep frieze with foliate arcading beneath, on a rectangular plinth with decorative scroll engraved bracket feet. Henry Fisher of Preston (Lancs)- a fine late 18th century Mahogany 8-day longcase clock c 1790, with a swan necked pediment, brass paterie and Verre Eglomise glass panels with a blue ground beneath, broken arch hood door flanked by reeded pilasters with brass Corinthian capitals, trunk with inset reeded quarter columns and a wavy topped door in figured mahogany, plinth with conforming canted corners, raised panel and bracket feet, with an early Wilson painted dial comprising a colourful depiction of birds of paradise to the centre and a working lunar disc to the arch, with painted floral spandrels within gesso borders and matching steel hands, Roman numerals, five-minute Arabic's, minute markers and matching seconds and date dials, dial pinned via a cast Wilson falseplate to a rack striking four-pillar movement, striking the hours on a bell. Samuel Martin of Bath-Regency period mahogany 8-day bracket clock, c1830, arched top with a four sided and domed socle with a mahogany turned urn, sides with brass fish-scale sound frets and lions head handles, case front with engraved brass banding to the edge, on a narrow moulded plinth raised on bun feet with beaded moulding and conforming moulding to the case front, silvered dial with Roman numerals, makers name, steel moon hands and alarm disc within a glazed cast brass bezel, dial pinned to a twin train wire driven fusee movement with a recoil anchor escapement and rack striking, sounding the hours on a bell, rear movement plate with a decorative engraved border to the edge and pendulum keep screw. A GEORGE II BRACKET CLOCK BY JOHN ELLICOTT (LONDON 1706-1772, COURT WATCHMAKER 1762-1772). Having a mahogany red lacquered chinoiserie case with glazed door to the front and rear, the dial with silvered chapter engraved Tempus Fugit and J. Ellicott, London, with black roman numerals, pierced brass mounts, twin fusee catgut movement, raised on four brass square feet, with winding key and pendulum, approx. 46cm high including handle, 28cm wide, 17.5cm deep. John Ellicott was one of the most prominent watchmakers in the 18th century within his guild, his father John Ellicott also worked as a watchamker and moved to London to run his business at Austin Friars and later St. Swithin's Alley, Ellicott proved to be an exceptional talent and was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 1738. He was appointed court watchmaker to both George II and later George III. Examples can be found in the British Museum, The Victoria & Albert Museum and many other royal collections around the world. CR* The movement has been restored, working at the time of cataloging though we cannot guarantee working condition. Some expected wear to the outer case, hairline crack/split to top of the case but appears in very good general condition overall.

RICHES, HALESWORTH: A George III flame mahogany striking, chiming and repeating bracket clock, brass arched dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, strike / silent subsidiary dial, alarm wheel, date aperture and false pendulum window, blued steel hands, signed G. Riches Halesworth. The backplate with all-over scrolled foliate engraved design, pair of repeating pull-cords attached to pulleys on the backplate, verge escapement, six bells. The case of arched form with gilt brass carry handle and side frets, raised on brass ogee feet, with keys. 43cm high x 32cm wide x 20.5cm deep. Label to interior references Ormesby Manor, Norfolk 17/10/87.The carry handle and attached wood is a/f and loose so cannot lift it by that.
Wadokei: An 18th Century Japanese Hashira-Dokei lantern clock with hooded wooden wall bracket. Brass and iron case, with the brass being used for the case sides. Iron movement with verge escapement and two iron ball weights on rope. Large bell to top of case. Plain brass case standing on four legs, with moveable chapter ring. With a plain hooded wooden wall bracket, the hood with four glass panels (front, both sides and one showing the bell), and two mesh panels. Bracket case 46cm tall.
A fine quality mahogany cased Grandfather Clock, the pediment with central urn above an arched glazed door housing a painted scene of ships off coast with castle ruins and brass ornate dial, with Arabic and Roman numerals, date aperture and a seconds dial by Thomas Sanderson of Dublin, flanked either side with reeded columns, the trunk with shaped panel door and half reeded columns on a box base with ogee bracket feet, 230cms high x 51cms wide (90 1/2" x 20"). A walnut longcase clock, late 18th/early 19th century, Dutch, with a brass arched dial inscribed 'B Thymen, Gouda', with a moon phase, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, with cast spandrels in the form of ladies, enclosing an eight-day movement, the shaped hood with pierced fretwork panels and arched fretwork side panels, the dial flanked with pilasters, the case with a shaped inlaid and cushion-edged door with a glass panel, on a shaped base raised on bracket feet, 11in dial 56cm wide26cm deep226.5cm highCondition ReportGeneral surface wear, light knocks and scratches to the case throughout, with some small splits, losses and areas of repair to the veneer, moulding and inlay. Some breaks, loss and repairs to the fretwork panels. The backboards with some tape repairs and strengthening batons, but the case appears free from woodworm. Joints are sound and solid. The dial with light surface wear, with the minute hand slight misshapen. Overall the case and face appear in generally good structural and cosmetic condition.

The backdoor grille damaged and worn. With pendulum and winder. A few knocks around the winding holes. Split to the wood above the dial. Seems to tick happily and striking on the quarter hours but we'd recommend it's seen by a professional clock restorer to gaurantee accurate time keeping. Piece of door frame detached to the reverse.
