Regency diamond and black enamel gold mourning brooch, the central glazed locket containing a lock of hair, surrounded by an old cut diamond border and gold foliage on black enamel ground, 41mm.Very good condition commensurate with age. One very minor chip to left hand edge of the enamel (when viewed very closely), light surface scratches commensurate with age. Diamonds are all original and secure. The brooch pin is steel, not gold, the catch and pin secure correctly. Glass to the locket is in good condition and the hair is original and appears to be un-disturbed . No hallmarks but appears to be gold. Weighs 12 grams
