The current MOT is valid until September 2025.The 996 iteration of the 911 is notable for being the first water-cooled version. The Carrera 4 is fitted with the 3.4-litre, flat six “boxer” engine which was originally rated at a shade under 300bhp. In the current ownership ‘OCZ 996’ has been diligently cared for. Work has included the fitting of new front tyres, new nearside window regulator and a full specialist service at 78,886 miles undertaken by Ninemeister. New discs, callipers and pads were fitted at 73,248 miles and the callipers were refinished in yellow at that time. At 78,969 miles the rear suspension arms were replaced and a reconditioned steering rack fitted by Revolution Porsche specialists. A four wheel alignment was also undertaken at this time. The vendor rates the mechanical aspects of ‘OCZ 996’ as “good.”‘OCZ 996’ presents in the great looking Zenith Blue hue with a matching and desirable hard top, five spoke Porsche alloy wheels and the 996’s distinctive “fried egg” headlamps. The sports orientated cabin is finished in black leather and exhibits the usual and iconic VDO Porsche instruments with the big tachometer taking centre stage in the binnacle. Bodywork, paintwork and interior are rated as “average.”In summary:Highly desirable six speed manual Carrera 4 Cabriolet configurationComplete with hardtop and model specific registration numberSubject to a god deal of recent professional care and attention

Recently servicedUK right hand drive exampleThe Porsche 911 is a luxury two-door sports coupé with a distinctive design, rear engine and independent rear suspension; an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. It has undergone continuous development although the basic concept has remained little changed. Throughout its lifetime, the 911 has been modified by private teams and by the factory itself for racing, rallying and other forms of automotive competition and is among the most successful competition cars ever. In the mid-1970s, normally aspirated 911 Carrera RSRs won major world championship sports car races such as Targa Florio, Daytona, Sebring and Nürburgring, even against prototypes. The 911-derived 935 Turbo also won the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979. In the 1999 international poll for the award of Car of the Century, the 911 came fifth. It is one of two in the top five that had remained continuously in production (the original Beetle remained in production until 2003) and was until 1998, the most successful surviving application of the air cooled, horizontally opposed rear-engine layout. This UK supplied right hand drive Guards Red 911 SC was first registered 19th January 1983 and for over nine years wore the plate VAD 1. Recently having been treated to a service with mechanics in Newton Abbot, this example does boast a comprehensive history file with a good service history with invoices found within the original book pack. In 2007 the car had a documented replacement speedo clock at circa 113,000 miles, the odometer now reads 3,700 thus mileage is circa 116,700 miles from new as can be seen in the MoT reports. UMV 918Y also has a current MoT certificate until August 2025 so should be ready for any driving adventure this spring/summer and beyond. Low mileage example with only 6,290 miles from newTwo owners from newThe 2015 Porsche 991.1 Carrera 4S Targa is a luxury sportscar that combines the iconic Targa styling with the performance of the Carrera 4S model. Porsche's 991.1 generation, which includes the 2015 model, is well-regarded for its balance of luxury, performance, and everyday usability. The Targa variant stands out with its distinctive roof design, making it a popular choice among enthusiasts who appreciate both the open-air experience and the structural integrity of a fixed-roof car. This lovely two owner car is presented in black with a tan leather interior. It is powered by a 3.8 litre flat-six (boxer) engine mated to a seven speed PDK gearbox. Its superb engine pushes out approximately 400bhp and it enjoys all-wheel drive (AWD) and is acclaimed to reach 60mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of around 186mph – outstanding! Infotainment System is Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation and audio controls. Inside, this Porsche has the usual as standard, electric windows, electric seats, air conditioning, multiple airbags, stability and traction control and advanced braking systems. It was originally supplied by Porsche Solihull and was subsequently looked after and serviced by Porsche Centre Wolverhampton with three stamps in the book and the last service was carried out at 3,354 miles (now showing 6,290). A fabulous sportscar with the added benefit of the very clever retractable roof and being a very low mileage example, this is a great opportunity. Lot 234

• Desirable Carrera 4 example• Left hand drive manual example• Desirable colour combinationKnown internally as the 964, Porsche's new generation 911 debuted in 1989 and was available in two (Carrera 2) and four-wheel drive (Carrera 4) guises with its familiar silhouette clothing a radically revamped platform. Boasting a drag coefficient of just 0.32 thanks to its deeper bumpers, smoother sills and flatter floorpan, high-speed stability was maintained by a self-deploying rear spoiler which rose above 48mph. Powered by an extensively reworked 3.6 litre air-cooled flat-six equipped with twin spark plugs per cylinder and a re-mapped Bosch Motronic fuel injection, the 964 claimed an impressive 250bhp and 229lbft of torque. Fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard, most variants were reputed to be capable of 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds with a top speed of over 160mph. The 964 was the last air-cooled 911 produced by the Stuttgart firm and, in so doing, represented the end of an era. The Carrera 4 representing the most user-friendly and driveable of the Carrera family. This example is presented in grey with a black interior and is the desirable Carrera 4 model, which is presented in manual left hand drive guise. The bodywork is showing some signs of age in various areas and the interior is well. Previously registered as a category D insurance loss the 964 has more recently been treated to extensive mechanical work to the tune of circa £30,000! Offered with various invoices, old MoT test records and the current UK registration document, this is surely excellent value given the recent expenditure. Quick, comfortable and reliable; Porsche’s holy trinity. Consigned by Daniel Godin DESIRABLE CARRERA 4 EXAMPLELEFT HAND DRIVE MANUAL EXAMPLEDESIRABLE COLOUR COMBINATION

Jose de Alcíbar (Mexico City, 1730 - 1803)"Allegory of Africa"Oil on canvas.132 x 96 cm.José de Alcíbar was one of the main exponents of New Spain painting in the second half of the 18th century. Born circa 1730, Alcíbar was remarkable in his ability to portray the ethnic and cultural diversity of New Spain and to accurately depict the physical details and symbolic elements in his characters, something that can be seen in his numerous casta paintings. These artworks, executed in a style that combines European influences with a local sensibility, are a key reference to understanding why we are attributing the painting we are analyzing to him. This is an elegant and striking painting showing one of the personifications of one of the four continents then known (Europe, Asia, Africa and America).Africa is represented here by a standing black character, who turns his head slightly to the left, as if paying attention to a voice calling him. With frizzy, curly hair, richly dressed in the manner of eighteenth-century Europe, showing wealth and abundance, with  clothing which is richly brocaded and trimmed on the sleeves and large red cloak.  The character also wears a necklace of a string of pearls and other jewelry, in the form of earrings.  They hold a sword in their right hand and a bow and arrows with their left.A Novo-Hispanic painting that helps us to gain a little more understanding of the sense that geographical allegories had in Renaissance and Baroque art.It was usually a way of demonstrating the confines of a given empire, and true to the mentality of the time, depicting a monarchy surrounded by continents was a clear expression of power, expressing that their power extended throughout the world. One of Alcíbar's best known paintings is “From Indian and Mestiza, Coyote” and “From Spaniard and Morisca, Albino”, which are in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. These paintings are part of the casta tradition, a pictorial genre that developed in New Spain and was intended to visually classify the different racial mixtures that arose from contact between Europeans, Africans and Indians. These works stand out for their detailed observation of the costumes, textures and gestures of the characters, something that is also evident in the painting of the “Allegory of Africa” that we have here.As in his casta paintings, Alcíbar uses chiaroscuro in “Allegory of Africa” to model the figure using strong contrast between light and shadows, giving it three-dimensional volume and reinforcing its presence in the composition. The depiction of clothing, with its folds, textures and finely worked details, is another characteristic shared with Alcíbar's casta paintings. The precision in the texture of the fabrics, the brilliance of the jewels and the meticulous depiction of the jewelry suggest the expert hand of a painter accustomed to capturing the material and symbolic wealth of his characters. The painting is significant not only for its artistic quality, but also for its ability to reflect colonial-era concerns and ideologies regarding ethnic diversity and the depiction of figures descended from Africa. This connection to Alcíbar's casta paintings, especially those in the Philadelphia Museum of Art, reinforces the attribution of the work and underscores the importance of José de Alcíbar as a key painter in the portrayal of racial diversity in New Spain. As the Museo del Prado states in their biographical factsheet, Alcíbar was ‘One of the most active and representative artists of the painting scene in Mexico City during the second half of the 18th century. He received numerous commissions, especially for religious paintings for various churches and portraits of leading figures in Mexican society, with a personal style that was not unrelated to the artistic processes taking place in the metropolis. Mexico City in the 18th century was a time of special cultural importance, also in artistic terms, with the founding of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos in 1784, of which Alcíbar was one of the founding members and in which he took an active part until his death. Despite the relative success of his teachings, the Academy saw the arrival in Mexico of painters trained and active in Madrid, such as Ginés Andrés de Aguirre, Cosme de Acuña, José Arias and Antonio González Velázquez, who undoubtedly enriched the horizons of the Latin American painters. The two portraits in the Museo del Prado are characteristic of one facet of Alcíbar's production, portraiture, and show the elegance and flamboyance of his brushwork.Reference bibliography:- Magali Carrera, “Imagining Identity in New Spain: Race, Lineage, and the Colonial Body in Portraiture and Casta Paintings” (2003).- Ilona Katzew, “Casta Painting: Images of Race in Eighteenth-Century México” (2004).- Museo de Arte de Filadelfia, Colección de Pinturas de Castas.- Museo del Prado. Registration No: L105 WGH Chassis No: JZA800011837 MOT: April 2026Just 40,648km from new (c.25,146 miles)Imported from Japan in 1999 and used sparingly until dry storage with a private collectorDesirable 2JZ-GTE engine mated to a six-speed Getrag manual transmissionFitted from nearly new with a full VeilSide body kit and split-wheel rimsA 'must have' for the JDM collectorOverseen by Isao Tsuzuki, work on the fourth generation (A80) Toyota Supra began in February 1989. Debuting at the Chicago Motor Show some four years later, the resultant 2+2-seater Coupe was a technological tour de force. Engaged in something of an ‘arms race’ with its fellow Japanese manufacturers and similarly keen to challenge the established European sports car hierarchy, Toyota created a machine which, in its ultimate twin-turbocharged guise, was very special indeed. The heart of the forced induction A80 was the mighty ‘2JZ-GTE’ straight-six DOHC 3.0 litre engine boasting a ‘closed deck’ cylinder block, forged steel crankshaft and three-layer steel cylinder head gasket all of which meant that it was completely unstressed when developing 276bhp and 318lbft of torque in Japanese specification. So strong was the unit that tuners were able to add hundreds of extra horsepower whilst still retaining stock internals. Outputs of over 1,000bhp were readily achievable and the most potent ‘2JZ-GTE’ was rated at 2,041bhp! Little wonder then that so many owners have succumbed to the lure of modification. The other boon of the ‘2JZ-GTE’ was its use of sequential turbochargers, which flattened the torque curve to such an extent that ninety percent of its peak was available from 1,300rpm to 4,500rpm. Today, we take nigh-on ‘lag free’ forced induction for granted, but in the early 1990s it was a revelation. It wasn’t just the engine which marked the flagship A80 as a stand-out design. Inspired by contemporary F1 practice, the Supra utilised a four-channel ABS braking system, enabling Car & Driver magazine to decelerate one from 70-0mph in forty-five metres (a record only surpassed by the Porsche Carrera GT hypercar in 2004). The provision of all-round independent suspension and Bilstein dampers provided ample grip, the Toyota recording 0.98g on the skidpan. However, despite its excellence, the A80 remained something of a left-field choice in the UK with many buyers plumping for a (slower) Porsche 911 or Ferrari 348 instead. Thus, just 623 Supras were UK supplied from 1993-1996, with less than half those thought to have survived.Supplied new to the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) in 1993 as a sought-after JZA80 Twin Turbo-charged Supra fitted with the desirable six-speed manual gearbox, chassis JZA800011837 was imported into the UK in 1999. The desirable full VeilSide body kit that was fitted in Japan, is complemented by a matching set of VeilSide five spoke split rims that are shod with Pirelli T0 tyres. Remarkably, the Twin Turbo-charged Coupé would cover only c.40,000km (c.24,854 miles) before import and before being registered in the UK as ‘L105 WGH’. Used very sparingly until it remained in the vendor’s private collection in a heated garage, it was maintained as-and-when required and now displays some 40,648km (c.25,146 miles). Now presenting as one of the best-preserved examples available and having escaped the usual drift circuits that these cars have become so highly sought-after for, ‘L105 WGH’ has been recently recommissioned with a new cam belt fitted in January 2024 plus a full fluids service, and will be offered complete with a copy of its original Japanese language service book.We would agree with the vendor that the Supra presents ‘excellently’ and must surely be one of the finest examples available on the market. The vendor has informed us that the engine itself remains standard aside from being fitted with an uprated HKS dump valve and HKS full exhaust system, which again, are both in excellent order. The vendor has advised the interior presents ‘excellently’ in the original duo-tone Black and Red colour combination and has an uprated sound system with an Alpine Head Unit, DDDrive Speakers with the customary Japanese TV and DVD player fitted. The vendor has also advised that the factory air-conditioning and electric seats operate ‘flawlessly’.Now presented for the first time on the UK market, this time-warp Supra is a fine example of what has become a truly investable modern classic, with values well on the rise in recent years and more and more interest gathering in them; no doubt for their Ferrari eating qualities!
