A gilt-brass and bevelled glass carriage clock, 19th century, French, the dial inscribed 'Breguet à Paris', the two-train movement striking a bell, with a repeater, in the original fitted and velvet-lined case,9cm wide8cm deep16.5cm highCondition ReportOverall the clock appears to be in good condition with only light traces of age and wear. Winds okay and repeater appears to work. We'd recommend the clock is seen by a professional clock restorer to guarantee accurate timekeeping. With winder in case. The case has some wear to the exterior and velvet interior but overall stable. The right side glass pane has a chip to the inside bottom left corner and a surface scratch, also to the inside. The front glass pane has slight nibbles to the inside bottom left corner. Enamel face in good order. Door in good order with light scratches and dents to the inside. Provenance is private collection, probably acquired from auction a number of years ago. Please see additional images for reference.
