Casino Borghese in Rom stärkte seinen Ruhm zusätzlich.

Literatur:Claudio Strinati in: Lights and Shadows, Caravaggism in Europe, Ausstellungskatalog, Lampronti Gallery, London 29. Relined.200 x 230 cm.Accompanied by a written communication by Didier Bodart as well as report by Claudio Strinati, 2015 and by Gianni Papi, 2019, each in copy.According to him, the present painting, in a style close to Rubens’ taste, is typical of the works that Schut painted in Italy. The concept of the work, with broad brushstrokes, a wide colour palette and soft light, can be associated with the frescoes in the Casino Pescatore in Frascati, and with the series of the “Four Elements” which is now divided between the Palazzo Pitti in Florence and the Palazzo di Montecitorio in Rome.Literature:Claudio Strinatio, Lights and Shadows, Caravaggism in Europe, exhibition catalogue, Lampronti Gallery, London 29 June – 31 July 2015, Rome 2015, cat. a. 29, pp. 84-85.Marzia Moschetta, Tesori di pittura italiana del XVII e XVIII secolo, Galleria Cesare Lampronti, Rome 2008, pp. 18-19.cf.
