Three antique leather desk or office objects - comprising an unusual dark green leather concertina document or stationary box, with flap pocket to the underside of the lid, the Bramah lock marked for J. T. Needs, 10 Blenheim Street, New Bond Street, 26.8 x 19.3cm (no key); a black tooled morocco leather box with rebated brass handle and Bramah lock signed by the same maker, purple velvet lined interior (central divider missing), 32 x 15 x 5.1cm, the upper section of lock detached (no key); and a red chinoiserie lacquer and black morocco writing paper folder, 29.25 x 22.75cm (some damage to surface of lacquer).
A concertina format album of twelve portraits of rulers, dervish and Europeans, Qajar Iran, 19th century, Transparent and opaque pigments on paper, pencil or ink, 8ff., some identified in black nasta'liq script, each laid on card within narrow polychrome borders and wide green, aubergine, yellow, black, blue or dull red margins, ten of Persian rulers enthroned, reclining on bolsters or seating on a rug, a sketch of a dervish and of a ruler, the latter unfinished and partially painted, two bust portraits of European men, tool dark brown bindings with central lobed medallion within quadruple rules, stylised spandrels31 x 20.3cm., the rulers and dervish's portraits 16.2 x 11cm., the Europeans 8 x 7.4cm. and 9.4 x 6.8cm. France.- Paris on fire.- Paris Incendié, 23 plates, hand-coloured and heightened with gum arabic, some double-page, on pull-out concertina panorama, contemporary ink ownership name on pastedown, original red pepple-grain cloth, gilt, a little stained and mottled, heavier to lover cover, [c.1875]; and c.25 others, panoramas, souvenirs, a carte de visites album, and views, v.s. (c.25) *** The main item is very visceral souvenir in memory of the unrelenting siege of Paris that took place by 1870-1871 and ended in the capture of the city by Prussian forces. The fires of Paris during the Commune were the premeditated destruction of monuments and residential buildings in Paris mainly during Bloody Week, the period when Paris was recaptured by the Versailles army from Sunday 21 May to Sunday 28 May 1871.The others in the lot are more traditional Victorian souvenir panoramas and views, mostly of the same monuments of Paris though decidedly less burnt.

C. WHEATSTONE & CO. 49-Button Concertina, serial number 31939, cased on ebonised wood with fretwork panel ends, in leather carry case, case height 21cm. Bellows in good order, producing sound with no obvious signs of damage, minor damage to fretwork at one end of case, in original leather carry case bearing the retailers name to inner velvet lining, leather handle to carry case damaged but present. Provenance, private collection from a local Staffordshire rectory. A model that has been 'tropicalised', also with brass reeds. Some buttons are stuck down too.

Fretwork in good order, replacement leather handle to one side, wear to original leather handle, original mahogany box, with brass handle (likely a later replacement)
