A military commission signed by Queen Victoria appointing Edward George Wynyard a Lieutenant in the King's Liverpool Regiment dated 1st July 1887, a Royal Humane Society certificate to Captain E.G.Wynyard D.S.O. A VAST ASSORTMENT OF MILITARY RELATED CIGARETTE CARDS along with maps and information booklets and postcards, the cigarette cards cover various areas of the Military, some of them are in albums and others in little players cigarette type boxes, the postcards appear to be from WWII and there is a silk one with them, also included is a collection of photographs, some of which are press photos taken in New Delhi and stamped to the reverse Public Relations for Office, twelve stereoscopic cards from the Boer Wars and mainly produced by Underwood & Underwood, these are slightly bent and some have a slight fade to them, there is a framed photo of the 1941 Army Football Team that played the RAF, this is well worthy of further research with some of the names on the photo, a book about the Polish Armed Forces through the ages and a framed machine gun Corps Certificate of Service, please not the cigarette card quantities have not been checked and the football team photo contains the name D. Compton which maybe Denis Compton who played professional football and cricket

CRICKET, World War I, Western Front, a silver award medal, unsigned, named (No. 10 General Hospital, Winners of the Rouen Cricket League [English] 1915), uncertain maker’s mark, 26mm, 7.75g. About very fine with suspension ring and loop, an interesting piece of wartime memorabilia, worthy of further research and doubtless very rare £40-£60 --- In the First World War the city of Rouen was safely behind the lines and became a major logistics centre with numerous base hospitals. Commonwealth camps and hospitals were stationed on the Champ de Courses (Racetrack) on the southern outskirts of the city where the British established Nos. 5, 6, 9, 10, and 12 General Hospitals to treat the wounded from the Western Front.
