Queen Elizabeth II, fine pair Presentation 9ct gold and polychrome enamel cufflinks, each oval decorated with crowned ERII cypher, joined by chains in original red leather box with gilt embossed crowned cypher to cover, by Plante, Bury St., London. Provenance: presented to Admiral of the Fleet The Lord Lewin KG, GCB, LVO, DSC (1920-1999) by Her Majesty when he was Commander of The Royal Yacht 'Britannia' in 1957-58. He went on to become the First Sea Lord and Chief of the Defence Staff during the Falklands War. He served with Prince Philip during the Second World War and became lifelong friends.
Set of Art Deco diamond and black onyx cufflinks and studs, each with a square panel centred with an old cut diamond on black onyx ground with diamond corners, set in 18ct gold.16.3 grams. One cufflink is damaged and the panels are distorted and the links bent/repaired. The rest of the onyx panels and gold mounts are in good condition.
