German Third Reich Luftwaffe Officer's 2nd pattern dagger with knot c. 1937-45. Good clean example with cream spiral ivorine grip and twist wire binding; plain plated double-edged blade. Aluminium crossguard and langet bearing an eagle and swastika; the pommel ornamented with swastika and oakleaves. Housed in its plated metal stippled scabbard fitted two foliate lockets bearing loose suspension rings. Complete with aluminium wire knot with minor service wear. VGC Provenance.
