Unusual late Victorian silver combined spirit flask and cigarette case of shaped form with engraved initials and dedication (Chester 1900) maker's mark rubbed, together with an Edwardian silver cigarette case with engraved initials (Birmingham 1905) maker's mark BP/DC. All at approximately 7ozs. Spirit flask 11.5cm overall length. (2)

A 19th century Richard Ginori Italian Art Pottery Pilgrim bottle, decorated with a battle scene. Height 39 cm. The finial has a number of glazed chips around the edge, the largest being +/- 1 cm square. The finial has also been broken and glued back into position at some point. The yellow band below this has chips. The main body of the flask has been restored at some point and this has been done in a sympathetic manner so you can see the joins. These should be visible on the pictures.
AN AMBER-BROWN GLAZED JAR AND FLASK Tang dynasty, a large thinly potted ovoid stoneware jar with wide inverted mouth, decorated in four moulded scroll-like medallions to sides, four small loop lugs to shoulders, flat unglazed base; a compressed circular flask decorated to each side with a large impressed floret, narrow everted mouth and two small loop lugs, unglazed lower body and slightly concave base 17.4cm high and 19cm high From a private Singapore family collection, acquired 1970s-1990s, and thence by descent Condition Information: Both show glaze loss, large sections of the jar's surface are covered in small pieces of what appears to be disintegrated paper, probably due to being exposed to moisture. AN ALGERIAN CORAL-SET SILVER AND WHITE METAL MINIATURE GUNPOWDER FLASK Algeria, North Africa, second half 19th centuryOf exaggerated curved, C-like shape, the crescentic flask made of chased and repoussé silver, the body with swirling foliate arabesques and rope-twisted bands, each domed terminal set with a polished Mediterranean red coral cabochon and further embellished with twisted wirework, the hinged lid surmounted by an additional coral-set finial and opening to reveal the powder compartment, the body pierced with suspension loops for attachment to a bandolier or belt, the form and decoration closely associated with the Kabyle and Berber silversmithing traditions of northern Algeria, on a black metal stand.9cm x 7cm excluding the stand These flasks were typically used by tribal horsemen and cavalry, both as functional powder containers and as status symbols. Similar examples have been highly sought after by collectors of Islamic, North African, and Maghribi arms and armour, as well as ethnographic art. AN INDIAN SILVER WINE OR SPIRIT FLASK (CHUSKI) Rajasthan, India, 19th centuryOf bulbous shape with a flaring ribbed neck, the piece featuring three finials in the shape of stylised birds, one crowning the lid and two adorning the handle and spout, with a suspension silver chain, the raised foot pierced and chased with stylised acanthus leaves radiating outward in a symmetrical pattern.15cm x 11cm This type of vessel was traditionally used to serve wine or other libations during ceremonial occasions. The figural birds may represent stylised peacocks or parrots—motifs commonly associated with festivity and royalty in Indian art. While utilitarian in form, the piece is highly ornamental, showcasing the skill of local silversmiths during the late Mughal and early colonial periods. Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Brown Leather Hip Flask, Maker's Mark reads as Charles Westwood & Sons. Oval design with a sterling silver cap, the flask is coated in brown 'crocodile' effect leather along with glass casing. There is visible tarnishing to the sterling silver and damage to the leather. Hallmarked 1909 Birmingham sterling silver, approximate height- 17.5cm and weight 411g.

A silver hip flask with engraved armorial inscribed "Ardenter Amo" (by James Dixon & Son, Sheffield 1896), 14 cm long, 4 oz CONDITION REPORTS Unknown if watertight or if has any lead solder. Has significant knocks and bumps throughout and the seam on one edge looks as though it is fairly close to splitting in a couple of places.
