Eriksson, Christian (Taserud /Schweden 1858 - 1935 Stockholm) Figur "Elof", Bronze gegossen und braun patiniert, nackter Knabe auf unregelmäßig rechteckiger Plinthe, seitlich signiert und undeutlich datiert "Chr. Eriksson Arcueil 1901", rückseitig Gießermarke "HE" (legiert im Kreis), im Boden Reste zweier Stempel "Fontes à Cire perdue" H 19,2 cm, Guss Hugo Elmquist Stockholm ~1901, sehr guter Zustand mit feiner Patina 7401 Christian Eriksson hielt sich 1901 in Arcueil bei Paris auf, dort schuf er auf Anregung der Herausgeberin der Kunstzeitschrift "L´Art décoratif" eine Darstellung seines vierjährigen Sohnes Elof, die Ausführung der Figur "Elof" erfolgte dann durch die bekannte Stockholmer Gießerei Herman Bergmann, das vorliegende Exemplar hingegen entstand in der kleinen Gießerei des Bildhauers Hugo Elmquist (1862 - 1930) in Stockholm, diese Ausführung scheint bisher nicht bekannt, Hugo Elmquist war bekannt für seine innovativen und experimentellen Gießtechniken, in seiner kleinen, nur bis 1909 existierenden Werkstatt goss er vorwiegend seine eigenen Arbeiten und gelegentlich Entwürfe befreundeter Künstler Lit.: Helge Kjellin 1953, Christian Eriksson 1858 - 1935, Seite 155 mit Abbildung
