Sold in a limited edition of only 999 pieces, identical to the one worn on 1 November 1987 (Juventus vs Avellino 3–0), commemorating the 90th anniversary of the club’s founding. Alessandro Del Piero - Juventus F.C. - Sason 1993-1994 - Home match shirt, Kappa, short sleeves, size L. Front: sublimated commercial sponsor Danone and two gold stars within a stitched box, with the handwritten inscription “1993 dove tutto ebbe inizio” (“1993, where it all began”) and the full autograph of Alessandro Del Piero, signed in black marker. Back: number 19 applied. The inner label is from Maglificio Calzificio Torinese and is 100% polyester. This is the very first Juventus shirt ever worn by Alessandro Del Piero, used for the official photo shoot marking his signing with the club in the summer of 1993. The shirt’s history is filled with interesting details, the most notable being the number 19 on the back, rather than the number 16, which Del Piero would later choose for his debut season. The number 19 was randomly picked from the equipment room for the first official photo. At the time, it also made headlines that, after the shoot, Del Piero respectfully folded the shirt and placed it on a chair. The shirt, carefully preserved by Juventus’ official photographer Salvatore Giglio, was signed and dedicated by Alessandro Del Piero during an event held at the Juventus Club “Aquile Bianconere” in San Pancrazio Salentino on September 3, 2023. The owner was a prolific collector who had a good relationship with many of the professional dealers and sellers such as “Fraser’s Autographs”, “Pen to Paper Autographs” etc and would also obtain Autographs in person.
