An Art Deco Susie Cooper matt salmon pink glazed vase, incised with deer, incised marks to base with 'REF 575', height 17.5cm, a similar ochre glazed Susie Cooper jug incised with tulips, height 17.5cm, and a similar green glazed plate, diameter 18.8cm, together with a large mixed group of other Susie Cooper pottery, including a selection of Parrot Tulip tablewares, a grey and green banded Gray's pottery six piece coffee set, an iron red banded Gray's lampbase and a miniature Tiger Lily Kestrel shape part service (minor faults).
An Art Deco Schneider Cordée glass vase, 1928-30, of gently flared cylindrical form, shaded from brown to clear with relief abstract rope like moulded detail to the exterior, etched mark to side edge, height 14cm, together with two pieces of WMF Ikora glass, comprising a vase, height 9cm, and a bowl, diameter 19cm, a lampbase, probably WMF, and a small vase with pulled detail, height 7.5cm. Provenance: from the collection of John and Poppy Stallebrass.
An extremely rare Michael Harris for Mdina Glass large tapering textured bottle or lampbase, designed and probably made by Michael Harris c1970, the purple neck blown 'on the post' into a textured mould, the body graduating from purple to colourless glass, with remains of factory paper label to shoulders, 41cm h x 21.5cm widest at base.FOOTNOTE: These extremely rare, large and impressive forms are amongst the rarest of Harris' early textured designs for Mdina Glass. This form is shown in a line drawing in a newspaper advertisement for the company produced c1970, and the coldworked flat top may indicate it was intended to be a lampbase. Acquired by the vendor's mother during a holiday to Malta in the early 1970s.Condition: Excellent condition with no cracks or chips, and with wear commensurate with age to base. A few tiny, minor nibbles on the neck rim, some of which may have occurred during the making process.
