This clock was the subject of a detailed article on both the clock and maker, published in CLOCKS magazine in 2009. George III longcase clock by Nathaniel Brown, Manchester with brass and silvered arched dial with revolving lunar and landscape to arch, subsidiary seconds and date in handsome oak case with swan neck pediment and blind fretwork with fluted brass spike finials, complete with two weights, pendulum and key. 241cm high (228cm without finials, 29cm deep)In good overall running condition. It does run for a while then stops probably as it needs levelling and setting up properly. It is currently not striking and will need some attention. The case is in good order apart from some missing blind fretwork to the pediment
