Pre War Trix For Bassett-Lowke 4-4-0 Loco And Tender L.M.S. Boxed (Faults To Box Noted)

Bing for Bassett-Lowke 0 gauge 4-4-0 clockwork loco & tender ‘George the Fifth’ 2663 on cab-side, LNWR black lined red, dent to the footplate, and front buffer beam, tender appears to have been varnished, handrail knobs have been pushed in slightly on one side, overall good condition.

A large collection of mainly finescale 0 gauge track, to include two Marcway points, a large collection of Marcway sealed yard lengths, a full box of Peco steel rail yard lengths of track, a small collection of Bassett Lowke points, and others, all in good condition, mostly appears unused.

0 gauge Bassett Lowke Corgi/Hornby electric modern coarse scale 2-6-0 Southern Railway Mogul N Class in Maunsell lined green, no.1864, loco is in excellent condition, with a few marks on the footplate and one loose smoke deflector, housed in the original box.

Provenance: the ship was commissioned by Mr H M Blenkinsop Esq, 1 New Street, Warwick, in 1935 with various correspondence letters between Bassett-Lowke Ltd and Mr Blenkinsopp charting the models progress including a letter acknowledging receipt for a cheque of £10:10s, another for the supply of the display case, blueprint drawings and a facsimilie photograph depicting Warwick Castle in steam, summer 1936.
