Registration – MAR 852VChassis No. – 93A0141136M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 99,500Porsche decided that it needed a more powerful version of the 924 to fill the gap between its entry model and the 911. The Porsche 924 Turbo was released in 1978 with a Series 2 model following along within a couple of years. ‘MAR 852V’ represents an example of the desirable original model having been through the hands of five previous keepers. The current vendor, a Porsche enthusiast with a private collection, acquired ‘MAR 852V’ in January 2021 and, according to MOT records, only around 1,500 miles have been covered since 1995. ‘MAR 852V’ was reportedly mechanically restored by the previous owner and has enjoyed a service at Cotswold Porsche just 200 miles ago. ‘MAR 852V’ is classified as an Historic Vehicle based on age and so is MOT exempt and zero rated for road tax. ‘MAR 852V’ comes with a generous archive of paperwork, service booklet and two keys.Important Note on Vehicle History:As part of our due diligence process, we carried out a series of checks on the vehicle registered as “MAR 852V.” Initial reports from MotorCheck (dated 16th April 2025) and MyCarCheck (dated 29th April 2025). However, further checks have since solidified the HPI status as clear. Two independent HPI reports, one from Solera HPi (dated 29th April 2025) and another by Peter Trotman Specialist Cars (dated 30th April 2025), confirmed no insurance category was present. Additionally, direct confirmation from the DVLA verified that no insurance marker is currently recorded against the vehicle. These documents are available on request. As always, we encourage all prospective buyers to carry out their own checks and ensure they are fully satisfied with the vehicle’s history. ‘MAR 852V’ exhibits a charming 1980’s aesthetic presenting in Mocha Brown paintwork, featuring the signature pop up headlamps separated by the Turbo specific cooling NACA duct. Other key external highlights include a bonnet mounted duct, tilting and removeable roof panel and impressive Fuchs alloy wheels with black centres and polished alloy rims. The sporty cabin exhibits the desirable leather trim in a Mocha shade. The familiar, high backed “tombstone” seats look very well presented and even the original rolling luggage cover and Porsche tool kit are present and correct. Even the original fit head unit is still present. Much recent work has been expended in here, too, to include a replacement dashboard with no UV induced cracks or deterioration (rare for a 924!), retrimmed seats throughout, upgraded door cards and a new carpet set. The vendor rates the bodywork and paintwork as “good,” and the interior as “excellent.”The Audi derived 2-litre engine of the 924 was heavily revised for the Turbo, of course, and would originally produce around 168bhp in Series I form. ‘MAR 852V’ has undergone an exhaustive schedule of mechanical works courtesy of the previous owner which is too extensive to do full justice to here. In brief terms this extends to a gearbox rebuild, a new clutch, a turbo rebuild, new rear main seal, master brake cylinder, steering column, bearing and tracked ends, new front shock absorbers and much more (the extensive paperwork file reveals the full extent of works). Other 924 specific works include fitment of a refurbished warm-up regulator, injectors and fuel distributor. The vendor rates the engine and electrics as “good” and the transmission as “excellent.”In summary:A great looking 924 Turbo in archetypical 1980’s brown over brown liveryComplete with Fuchs alloys and full leather interiorOffered complete with a detailed and informative paperwork archive
Registration – VOY 477LChassis No. – 110F5146314M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 75,000This delightful diminutive classic offers heaps of Mediterranean authenticity having spent its life until 2017 in its native Italy. ‘VOY477L’ was imported to the UK at that point by its first and previous UK keeper. Now in the stewardship of just its second, ‘VOY477L’ is notable for its excellent restored condition and its vibrant, eye-catching presentation. Being a 500R, this is a desirable later version with the more powerful 594cc engine and the full synchromesh gearbox. Today the odometer reads a shade over 75,000 kms and ‘VOY477L’ comes with lots of provenance providing paperwork, some period booklets as well as its original Italian registration plates. ‘VOY477L’ is classified as an Historic Vehicle by DVLA and hence considered MOT exempt and zero rated for road tax. The vendor describes ‘VOY477L’ as easily able to keep up with traffic and possessing a great gear change and a compliant ride. ‘VOY477L’ is only being sold due a back issue with the vendor and is ready to use and enjoy immediately.‘VOY477L’ looks amazing in its China Red livery which can better be described as a vibrant terracotta hue. The R models employed the steel wheels from the Fiat 126, and these have been finished in an off white. Other charming, noteworthy features include a full sized vinyl sunroof, front spot lamps and a rear mounted chromed luggage rack. ‘VOY477L’s’ cabin is a refreshingly spartan affair but remaining eminently practical and utterly original looking. Black vinyl, carpet and rubber abounds but the big windows and full length and width sunroof flood the cabin with light. The original red vinyl seats are also included in the sale. This R model exhibits the neater single round speedometer with integrated warning lights. The vendor judges the paintwork, bodywork and interior as “excellent.”In terms of mechanical configuration, the 500R features the well proven twin cylinder 594cc rear mounted engine as used in the Fiat 126. The power output is incredibly modest by today’s standards but the 500R never feels anything other than sprightly and nippy. That’s most likely due to the car’s 500 kg or so dry weight. This specification is emblematic of the 500’s ethos – minimalistic but more than adequate. All ‘VOY477L’ mechanical systems are rated as “excellent.”In summary:Imported from Italy in 2017 with just two UK keepers to dateA desirable, later 500R with bigger engine and synchromesh gearboxCompete with plenty of paperwork included some from its Italian life
Registration – NVC 980WChassis No. – GVADJ1AG513984M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 59,959This classic 1980 MGB Roadster is reassuringly described as a really nice example that has been well cherished. The odometer reads just 55,959 miles and the vendor describes this as “genuine”. They say their duration of ownership is 12 years, and the car has had just five previous keepers. “It has always been kept in the garage when not in use, and also throughout the winter months”. As such, it is in good overall condition, with just minor wear and tear. All tyres, including the spare, are in “great condition” and ‘NVC980W’ has a relatively new stainless steel backbox exhaust.‘NVC980W’, which was registered on 1 August 1980, also has an extensive history, says the vendor. This includes many years of paperwork and even a collection of original tax discs. Both a cover and soft-top hood are included. Period features such as the polished wire wheels and rear luggage rack are charming details too.The MGB was revealed in 1962 and remained in production until 1980. The archetypal British classic sports car, well over half a million were produced, and support for the Abingdon-built model remains superb even today. The two-seat soft-top Roadster was the core model, while there was also an MGB GT 2+2 coupe, a six-cylinder MGC and eight-cylinder MGB GT V8. The model was continuously evolved during its lifetime, with key changes including a new dashboard in 1972 and the well-known ‘rubber bumpers’ in 1974. The MGB was later revived as the MG RV8 by Rover Group in 1992, using bodyshells from British Motor Heritage. Successor to the R-Type, the Bentley S1 was introduced in 1955 with a whole new chassis; the car's wheelbase had been extended 3" to 123", and the luggage compartment was expanded. The S1 had softer suspension than the R-Type, with electrically controlled rear shock absorbers. Brakes had been improved, and the steering was lighter. This model marked the final integration of Bentley with Rolls-Royce - the standard saloons were now entirely alike, but for grilles and badging. The engine was Rolls' 4887cc F-head six, in its final configuration before the introduction of V8 power in 1959. Manual gearboxes were supplied only to special order. The British Magazine, the Motor reported a top speed of 103mph and 0-60 acceleration of 13.1 seconds from a short-wheelbase S1 in 1957.First registered on 28th July 1958, this wonderful Bentely S1 found its second home in a matter of months when it was sold to Lt. Col. A. R. Bond in December of the same year. Reported by the vendor to be in very good condition mechanically with work in recent years including a gearbox rebuild and top end overhaul, at which time the core plugs were replaced, the cooling system flushed and the engine generally tidied. The car was also fitted with front seatbelts, new starter motor and solenoid, new fuel pump and electronic ignition. Consequently, the engine runs very well, as these ‘big sixes’ do when properly maintained and regularly used. The car has benefitted from regular servicing reflected in the accompanying large history file which shows not just receipts but also copies of the original build sheets. The interior is largely original and lightly patinated. The rear seats are original and in good condition whereas the front seats were reconditioned by the previous owner and are prodigiously comfortable. The car was repainted under a previous ownership but it remains in good condition as does the car’s gleaming chrome. We believe the Bentley S1 is one of the best-looking models produced by the British motor company, having only had five owners from new and being a matching numbers example, this Bentley is an opportunity not to be missed. The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was a luxury saloon car built from 1965 through to 1980 and was the first Rolls-Royce to be constructed using a monocoque chassis and, to date, has the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce. The original Shadow was 3½ inches narrower and seven inches shorter than its predecessor, the Silver Cloud, but managed to offer increased passenger and luggage space thanks to more efficient packaging. Aside from a more modern appearance and construction, the Silver Shadow introduced many new features such as disc brakes replacing drum brakes and independent rear suspension rather than the ageing live axle design of previous models. It featured a 189bhp 6.75litre V8 engine from 1970 onwards, mated to a Turbo Hydromantic 400 transmission supplied by General Motors. The superb ride quality achieved in the Shadow was thanks to the innovative high-pressure hydraulic system with dual-circuit braking and hydraulic self-levelling suspension. This delightful Rolls-Royce was originally registered on 17th February 1977. It is finished in the two-tone combination of Olive over Pewter with beige leather trim. This is a low mileage example, having only covered 43,593 miles in 48 years on the road. Purchased some 20 years ago, it has been in long term family ownership, however, it has been decided that the time is right to sell this Silver Shadow II. Work carried out in recent years over and above standard servicing, includes the fitment of new brake callipers, exhaust system and steering rack and pinion. The engine runs very well and is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage example. It is supplied with a V5C registration document, together with a collection of invoices. We are advised the car will be presented for an MoT prior to the auction. This is a good, genuine, honest example of a classic and increasingly desirable Rolls-Royce. Consigned by Stewart Banks. Automatic transmissionOnly 22,379 miles from newOriginal purchase invoiceThe Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original Mini is considered a British icon of the 1960s and its space-saving front wheel drive layout that allowed 80% of the area of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. This distinctive two-door car was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis and was manufactured at the Longbridge and Cowley plants. The Mini Mk. I had three major UK updates; the Mk. II, the Clubman and the Mk. III. Within these were a series of variations including an estate car, a pick-up and a van. The Mini Cooper and Cooper 'S' were sportier versions that were successful as rally cars, winning the Monte Carlo Rally four times from 1964 through to 1967. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names, as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini Minor until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969.Originally registered on 1st April 1990 this Mini Mayfair with automatic transmission has only covered 22,379 miles from new. The condition is commensurate with such a low mileage example, with the blue paintwork in good order as is the velour trim. We are advised this Mini drives well with good gear changes from the AP gearbox, an ingenious design for the time with the gearbox sitting in the sump. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with an MoT test certificate valid until 8th April 2026, the original service and handbooks, servicing invoices and the original purchase invoice. Mini Mayfairs are few and far between, a low mileage automatic example such as this is certainly a rarity. Consigned by Stewart Banks. Restored to a very high standard in the USAPrevious Senior division Mustang Club of America show winnerRare factory GT in original specificationFactory air conditioning & power steeringCirca 1,000 miles since engine rebuild and mechanical refreshThe Ford Mustang was the brainchild of Lee Lacocca and was branded as the first 'Pony Car', it was born out of a need to compete with the flood of European sports cars coming into the USA in the Sixties. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan on March 9th 1964 and was introduced to the public at the New York World's Fair on April 17th 1964. The Mustang was only available as a hardtop coupé and convertible until September 1964, it was the fastback that drew the interest of Carroll Shelby which extended the iconic reach of the Ford Mustang and firmly put it into the category of motoring legends. The Mustang sold over one million units in its first 18 months on the market and became a popular car to customise, from engine upgrades to racing stripes, no two Mustangs are often found the same. Ford kept the Mustang relatively cheap with a list price of $2,368, making the car extremely popular. This particular example is something rather special, it is a factory GT convertible, which was built on October 7th 1965 in Meuchen, New Jersey and was restored around 1988 in the USA to an extremely high standard, then only trailed to shows and covered almost no miles until around 2020. Our vendor purchased the car from Fraser Dante Limited in 2021, who refreshed the braking system and gave the car a mechanical refresh and new tyres to make it ready for use after so many years of static display. The restoration was evidently carried out to exacting standards and looks as though it could have been carried out just a handful of years ago, not nearly 40! We understand this Mustang has previously been a winner in the Senior Division of Mustang Club of America shows and it would look right at home at any classic car shows today. The Factory numbers are clearly visible around the car in the correct places and the car still retains its original C6 dated 289ci engine (which has only covered around 1,000 miles since being rebuilt) and factory specification of Wimbledon white with a white/blue pony interior and factory luggage rack on the bootlid. The car was also specified from new with the very rare option of air conditioning, which is still in place today.During our vendors ownership, an Edlebrock carburettor was fitted and tuned in August 2022, a new exhaust was fitted in September 2022 and the gearbox was stripped and rebuilt in November 2023, along with an engine oil service. This Mustang is ready to be enjoyed by the new owner right away this summer and is supplied to auction with a V5C registration document and invoices showing recent works, along with a copy of the Marti report. The Austin FX3 was introduced in 1948 and produced until 1958. Designed specifically for London's streets, the FX3 was developed by Austin in collaboration with taxi specialists Mann & Overton and coachbuilder Carbodies. It featured a 2200cc four-cylinder petrol engine, later supplemented by a more economical diesel version. Known for its distinctive pre-war styling, including flared wings and a prominent grille, the FX3 quickly became an icon of postwar London life. It had a tight turning circle tailored for the capital’s narrow streets and complied with the strict Metropolitan Police regulations for taxis. Most FX3s had an open luggage platform next to the driver, as was customary at the time. Despite its utilitarian nature, the FX3 offered solid reliability and a comfortable ride. It was eventually succeeded by the more modern FX4 in 1958, but the FX3 remains a nostalgic symbol of mid-20th-century British motoring. This particular FX3 starred in Cold War spy thriller “The Ipcress File” and is presented in really good order, it is understood the taxi was restored around 15 years ago. This is a very late FX3, registered less than a year before production ended and is powered by the robust diesel engine. This could make a really fun way to drive around London without paying the ULEZ charge, or just something to stand out from the crowd at classic car shows. Supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, some old photos and an original maintenance manual. Consigned by Fraser Smith STARRED IN THE IPCRRESS FILESGREAT CONDITION
Genuine Tiger with Ford 289ci five bolt enginePrepared for classic rallies and campaigned with great successSupplied with FIVA ID card granted in 2010 and Certificate of AuthenticityRally ready example but still wonderful as a fast road carInspired by the AC Cobra, which was effectively the British AC Ace sportscar and powered by the large American Ford 4.2 litre, V8, the Sunbeam Tiger first saw the light of day in 1964. Based upon the Rootes Group, Sunbeam Alpine, the Tiger, with the Ford power plant slotted into the engine bay, became what is surely one of motoring's true 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. With stunning performance due not only to the mighty V8 but also thanks to the lightweight Alpine shell, Tigers are sought-after for collectors and enthusiasts. This handsome Sunbeam Tiger is finished in Mediterranean Blue with black trim, it was built by Jensen in 1965 and first registered in 1967. The car was purchased by the previous owner in December 2008 and was described as a near concours example. The previous owner then set about converting the Tiger into full historic rally specification with the emphasis on driveability and reliability. The car was then extensively campaigned throughout the UK and Europe in many prestigious events and, we are informed, it has never failed to finish a rally due to mechanical issues. Importantly, the car itself is a genuine Sunbeam Tiger with a Certificate of Authenticity from the STOA USA and STOC UK and is a well-known car in classic rally circles and to the STOC.Supplied with an astonishing history file from 1965 to the present day, it encapsulates almost every MoT test certificate. Also contained within the history file are the original bills of sale from 1972 and 2008, the green logbook dated 1967, the original stamped service book dated 1967, extensive paper and photographic history, receipts from the 1980s to 2008 prior to the rally conversion, extensive current paperwork and photographic history including all invoices and an engine rebuild from 2009 to 2019, a 2010 FIVA ID card which expired in 2020, current wiring diagram for all fuses and relays and finally the original owner's handbook and workshop manual. This example could, with relative ease, be returned to fast road specification with the benefit of sublime handling for a Tiger, long range fuel tank and exceptional performance. This a very exceptional Sunbeam Tiger in amazing condition and with perhaps the best history found on such a car, the history file is truly vast. The previous owner lavished in excess of £40,000 on the vehicle since 2008, and our vendor purchased the car in 2022, managing to attend many events and shows since then. In 2003, Jaguar introduced the re-engineered and newly designed third generation of the XJ, continuing with the XJ8 model designation. It featured an all-aluminium body and chassis, a new V8 engine, as well as greater interior and luggage spaces. It was the first Jaguar XJ to be completely designed under Ford ownership and used electronics and computer-controlled systems sourced through existing partner suppliers or directly produced by Ford. The V8 engine was offered in larger 3.5 and 4.2 litre displacements as well as in a supercharged variation. A new six-speed automatic gearbox was fitted which was lighter and offered better economy with lock-up on all gears and a larger spread of ratios. Air suspension was fitted at the front and rear, providing adaptive damping as well as rear self-levelling with computer-controlled ride height and suspension mode. Jaguar launched the X358 facelift to the X350 at the end of February 2007 with a revised lower grille, prominent faux side air vents, small boot lid spoiler, and revised seating. A Jaguar emblem within the grille replaced the previous bonnet-mounted mascot. The front lights were revised and door mirrors incorporated side repeaters. The side sills, rear bumper, and taillights were revised while the interior featured redesigned front seats. This stunning example of a facelift 57 plate 4.2 litre V8 XJR was first registered on 29th September 2007, it is presented in black coachwork with a contrasting tan full leather interior. Specified with heated and ventilated seats and offered with an MoT test certificate until November 2026 and two keys. The cars part service history is coupled to recent invoices detailing a raft of maintenance spanning the past three years with circa £10,000 of bills with a Jaguar specialist and has been treated to a recent service. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980s and was offered in a number of limited editions that usually included a special combination of trim and badging. This is a seriously cool 1994 Rover Mini Cooper JCW homage with upgrades that will turn heads. It is finished in metallic dark brown with an incredibly unique leather interior which matches the cars exterior very well. It was subject to a £14,000 restoration about 10 years ago and still looks fantastic today, with the ubiquitous white stripes on the bonnet showing John Cooper’s signature which is synonymous with the JCW Mini and the ‘Union Jack’ on the roof – the paintwork looks great! This Mini is really fun to drive and has a go-kart feel along with its peppy 1.3-litre engine and four-speed manual gearbox, with sports wheels to match. Rare Series II 2+2 AutomaticRebuilt gearboxLaunched at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, the Jaguar E-Type was nothing short of a revelation. With its heady blend of supercar performance, breathtaking styling and low price tag, the newcomer left rivals reeling and customers clamouring. Early sportscar racing success at the hands of Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori amongst others helped cement its reputation. Built as a monocoque with a front sub-frame to cradle the engine, the model's combination of all-round independent suspension, rack and pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes gave it excellent road holding and handling capabilities. The Jaguar E-Type Series I 2+2 was designed to be a more practical version of the legendary E-Type, with a longer wheelbase and additional interior space. It was produced from 1966 to 1967, and it featured a 4.2 litre inline-six engine that produced 265bhp. One of the most notable features of the Jaguar E-Type Series I 2+2 is its sleek and timeless design. The car has a long, flowing hood and a low-slung profile that gives it a sense of speed and power. This stunning example was first registered on 10th April 1970 and presents in a deep burgundy coachwork over an original grey leather interior. This automatic example of the 2+2 is the ultimate in looks and E-Type practicality. From photographic history and bills, we believe this E-Type was restored circa 2017. With only 74,000 miles on the odometer which is believed to be correct and with six documented keepers, the interior shows a wonderful patina. Benefiting from a full stainless steel exhaust and rebuilt gearbox at 72,521 miles, the car is accompanied by its original buff logbook, original handbook, itemised bills from specialists and an Mot test certificate valid until August 2025 with no advisories. Good honest E-Types are still one of classic motoring’s great pleasures and this rare automatic 2+2 can transport you, your spouse, children and luggage to any classic event this summer and with the bonus of a Webasto retractable roof so it can all be done with an open top keeping you cool and enjoying the British summer. Subject to a no expense spared restoration with many subtle upgradesProfessionally rebuilt 359ci Chevrolet engine producing between 350bhp-400bhpRack and pinion steeringThe sole coupé model of the Ford V8 DeLuxe was a five-window design, with a single bench seat for three people. This allowed the car to boast two luggage compartments, one reached by raising the boot lid, the other from inside by lifting the seatback. The coupé was available as either a Standard or DeLuxe model, the former with a choice of the small 60bhp V8 or the 221ci 85bhp powerplant. Standard Fords had a variation of the 1938 nose, less exterior trim, and a single taillight. In DeLuxe trim, cars had the new Gregorie front end, two taillights, and came with the 85bhp engine as standard equipment. For the first time, the headlights were recessed smoothly into the front fenders, but for the last time they had free-form lenses, unconstrained by the new round shape of standardised sealed beams. Despite its limited seating, the coupé proved quite popular, with 37,326 manufactured of all types. This placed it third in sales, behind the Tudor and Fordor saloons. This exquisite Ford V8 presents in beautiful condition throughout. Imported into the UK in February 2015, this vehicle was then subjected to a no expense spared, frame-up build featuring a modified, professionally built, 359 cubic inch Chevrolet engine fuelled by a Carter 600cfm carburettor with Brodix aluminium cylinder heads, roller rockers and a hydraulic performance camshaft.
