THE LAND BEFORE TIME (1988) - Littlefoot and Mother Original Production Animation Cel Setup - An original production cel setup used in the making of The Land Before Time, featuring Littlefoot cradled tenderly in his mother's mouth - one of the most emotionally powerful moments from this beloved animated classic. This animated feature was a landmark project that saw master filmmaker Steven Spielberg and producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall lend their creative powers to the animation genre through Universal Pictures. As one of the defining projects of Amblimation, the film blended Don Bluth's expressive, richly animated style with Spielberg's instinct for heartfelt, cinematic storytelling, setting a new benchmark for animated family films in the 1980s.Apart from the endearing character interaction, the facial expressions make this cel particularly attractive; all three characters' eyes are open, a subtle yet powerful nuance in the 24 frames-per-second world of hand-drawn animation. Daddy Topps and a young Cera also appear at the left-hand edge, adding depth and scale to the scene. The cel is labelled "LB 882, 002, 34, 143" along the bottom edge. This carefully selected setup is paired with a matching litho background and features the official studio seal from the MCA Universal/Amblin art programme. The lot is accompanied by an Amblin Entertainment certificate of authenticity. Romero, Hal Holbrook, Ted Danson, Ed Harris, Adrienne Barbeau and Others Autographed US International One-Sheet, 1982 - This original US One-Sheet for George A. Romero's horror compilation piece Creepshow (1982) features a fantastic EC-Comic-inspired design by Neal Adams and Jack Kamen. It encompasses the dread yet fun aesthetic of early 80s anthology films. The poster itself would make a cool addition to any collection. However, this example is uncommon as it displays an array of autographs from all of the cast members, many of whom have sadly passed away. The autographs include Leslie Nielsen (Richard Vickers), director George A. Romero, Hal Holbrook (Henry Northup), Ted Danson (Harry Wentworth), Ed Harris (Hank Blaine), Adrienne Barbeau (Wilma "Billie" Northup), E.G. Marshall (Upson Pratt), Don Keefer (Mike the Janitor), Fritz Weaver (Dexter Stanley), Gaylen Ross (Becky Vickers), Gwen Verdon (voice of Lenora Castonmeyer), Robert Harper (Charlie Gereson), Tom Atkins (Stan Hopkins), Tom Savini (Garbageman #2) and Viveca Lindfors (Bedelia Grantham). The signatures are in various colours, which look great, contrasting with the vivid artwork, and three have also written quotes. The poster displays minor fold line and handling wear. Dimensions: 69 x 104 cm (27" x 41")Condition: Very FineArtist: Jack KamenThe autographs in this lot have been professionally authenticated by expert Garry King; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.VAT Status: Ω

RAF35c 30th Anniversary of VJ Day signed MRAF Arthur ( Bomber ) Harris. 15 Aug 75 BFPS 1492 30th Anniversary of VJ Day Special Postmark No 101 Squadron Royal Air Force. 30th Anniversary of VJ Day Flown from RAF Waddington in Vulcan B Mk2 XM575 on a Training Sortie. Personally Signed Marshall of the RAF Sir Arthur Bomber Harris WW1 Pilot. Harris led RAF Bomber Command in World War Two, earning him the nickname 'Bomber Harris'. His implementation of the policy of 'saturation' or 'area' bombing of German cities has made him a hugely controversial figure. Leaving England at the age of 16, he travelled to Rhodesia where he worked on a farm becoming the manager by the age of 21. Having fought in South-West Africa, he returned to Britain and joined the RFC, gaining his RAeC Certificate (No 2015) on 6 November 1915. In March 1916, one of his flight, Lt W Leefe-Robinson, brought down the first Zeppelin over England for which he was awarded a VC. With No 45 Sqn he gained his five victories, thereby raising him to 'ace' status. It was in India that he saw the deplorable state of the RAF in the area and at one point even threatened to resign his commission over the situation. He has often been 'credited' with start 'area bombing', but this decision was made before he took over Bomber Command. However, having been given the task, he carried it out with vigour. He also attempted increase the profile of the command and within months of taking over command had managed to mount three '1000 Bomber' raids against Cologne, Essen and Bremen. After the war, shunned by the British authorities, he returned to South Africa and became Managing Director of the South African Marine Corporation (Safmarine). He was eventually honoured when Churchill returned to Downing Street in 1953, but at his own request was awarded a baronet rather than a peerage. He died on 5 April 1984. Certified Copy No 0521 of 1250. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity. We combine postage on multiple winning lots and can ship worldwide. UK postage from £5.99, EU from £7.99, Rest of World from £9.99

WW2 Von Braun Rocket Scientist Hans Kennel signed page Op Paperclip NASA. Approx 5 x 3 inch piece with Space images hand signed. Hans studied at the Darmstadt (Germany) University of Technology; in 1955, he received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, specializing in Hydraulics. In the fall of the next year, he came to Huntsville to work as an Aerospace Engineer for Wernher von Braun's group, created by the Army Ballistic Missile Agency via "Operation Paperclip." Hans' field of expertise was Guidance and Control Flight Software. In 1960, along with the German rocket scientists, he transferred to what would soon become NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, Redstone Arsenal. Once in Huntsville, Hans met Margarete "Margaret" Muller, daughter of Christian Wilhelm Muller and Anna Maria Lang. Originally from Kleinaspach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Margaret had come to the U.S. as an au-pair for the family of Rudolf Schlidt, one of the original von Braun team members. In 1961, Hans and Margaret married in Kleinaspach, returning to Huntsville and making the town their permanent home. Their children would all be born here. During his Redstone tenure, Hans worked on many space and rocket projects, the Jupiter, Saturn V, Space Lab, Hubble Space Telescope, and HEAO-2 (Einstein X-ray Telescope) projects in particular. His most notable area of work was in the development of new software algorithms involving space vehicle angular momentum management and control moment gyros. These algorithms were successfully used on Skylab for the original 1973 and 1974 missions, as well as the Skylab re-entry mission in 1979. Hans' Control Moment Gyro Steering Law was advanced and versatile enough to be used years later by the International Space Station. For this work, he received several commendations, including the two highest awards given to NASA employees: the NASA Exceptional Service Medal and the NASA Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement. Hans retired in 1992 after 36 years of government service. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity. We combine postage on multiple winning lots and can ship worldwide. UK postage from £5.99, EU from £7.99, Rest of World from £9.99

Lot 110

WW2 Von Braun Rocket Scientist Oscar Holderer signed page Op Paperclip. Approx 5 x 3 inch piece hand signed. During World War II, Holderer worked for the German military as a low-level engineer under Wernher von Braun. When the war ended, the United States selected 100 of von Braun's men to help improve the United States' rocket technology as part of Operation Paperclip. Shortly thereafter, another 20 were selected.[4] Holderer was part of the second 20, arriving in 1945 as part of the second group. After a few years in White Sands, New Mexico, the Paperclip team moved to Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, in 1950. Holderer's area of expertise was aerodynamics. According to Space Historian and former NASA publicist Ed Buckbee, Holderer personally brought America's first rocket wind tunnel from Germany and set it up for early testing. At Redstone Arsenal, he worked as a mechanical engineer, designer, and fabricator. He designed the wind tunnel used for Saturn V testing and oversaw the tunnel's construction at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The Saturn V later powered Apollo 11 on its successful Moon landing. Describing the project many years later, Holderer said the historical significance of the project was not felt at the time, but that he "was amazed when [he] heard what they had in mind. "The same wind tunnel is still used by NASA for testing as of 2015. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity. We combine postage on multiple winning lots and can ship worldwide. UK postage from £5.99, EU from £7.99, Rest of World from £9.99

WW2 Von Braun Rocket Scientist Werner Gengelbach signed page Op Paperclip. Approx 5 x 3 inch piece hand signed. He started his professional career in 1938 after he received a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Technische Hochschule (institute of Technology) at Darmstadt, Germany. He became employed by the Electrical Institute of the University as an instructor and research assistant. After a year of activity in High Voltage research and post graduate work he became, with the beginning of World War II, engaged in classified research projects of the German Rocket Center at Peenemunde. In 1942 he was invited by Dr. Wernher von Braun to come to Peenemunde to join his team of rocket experts. His initial position at the Center gave him major responsibilities for the testing and launchings of the first completed V-2 missiles. Later, in 1943, he assumed full responsibility for the planning, establishment and operation of an underground production operation of mobile launch stations. In the fall of 1945, he accepted an invitation by the U.S. Government, together with Dr. von Braun and other members of his team, to come to the U.S.A. and continue missile research and development work.
