BAKER, Henry (1698-1774). 3 letters in English to Cornelius Nozeman (1720-1786), London, 20 May 1754, 15 Sept. 1756 and 10 Nov. 1757. 3 fold. lvs., r° & v°, all signed.NOTE: Extensive letters to his 'colleague' Nozeman in which he i.a. refers to his publication on microscopes. Henry Baker played a big part in popularizing the microscope in the 18th c. He received the Copley Medal in 1744 for microscopic observations of the crystallization of salt particles.
