A Staffordshire pearlware pottery spaniel dog, probably by Enoch Wood works, or Neale & Co, circa 1820, modelled recumbent on a naturalistic base, unmarked, 16.5cm wide CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows the odd firing pit and frit, fine surface crazing to the body of the dog, small glazing faults and small flaked losses to the glaze, and losses to the extruded grass detail of the base, but no obvious chips, cracks or evidence of restoration.

Snakeskin-design example: Hallmarks clear. Some wear and losses to the snakeskin paint decoration. Some minor discolouration. Some abrasion to base. Some scratching, nicking and marking to the silver mount. Some wear to the silvering to the interior. Green glass example: good condition. No cracks or damage noted to glass. Silver mount has come detached so would need to be reaffixed. Some very minor scratches and chips (noted under 10x magnification) to base. 'Sterling' mark slightly rubbed. Green ceramic example: good condition. Some minor discolouration to body. Some marking, pitting, bruising and scratching to metal mount.
