A set of three giltwood pelmets, 19th centuryWith moulded cavetto cornices above friezes applied with scrolling foliage and florets, the centre pelmet with acanthus crestings and shaped ends, the flanking two of plain form.Two at 166cm wide, one at 200cm wide. (3)Condition:The gilding appears original with some possible touching up in places. The central pelmet has been reduced in the centre and rejoined. Two of the florets, and some small sections of moulding have come adrift but are extant. Some cracking to the corner acanthus crestings. General signs of age with some small chips and flakes to the gilt and gesso in places.
A George III-Style Carved Mahogany Four-Poster Bed, 19th century in part, with later cream crewel-style pelmet and curtains below a moulded and dentil cornice, the carved and reeded front bedposts in the manner of Gillows with square bases and block feet, takes a bespoke 5'6" mattress 170cm by 204cm by 251cm The canopy has been cut and altered. There is a section of timber missing at the corner (as photographed). The carved posts are in good condition. The fabric to the headboard is badly stained and is resting against a later wooden headboard. The bed base is badly stained also. The bed can be dismantled fairly easily. The bed is assembled as per the images online. The mattress is not included (please see additional images).
