TOM & JERRY (1940-PRESENT) - Set of Four Original Hand-Drawn Comic Strips Signed by Kelley Jarvis and Richard Maurizio - A rare and original set of four hand-drawn Tom & Jerry comic strip panels, produced for international newspaper syndication during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Illustrated by Kelley Jarvis, with three of the strips signed in silver marker by fellow cartoonist Richard Maurizio, these strips were created for and distributed by "Animated Arts! ", a licensed studio working with Editors Press Service (EPS), one of the first syndicates to supply American comic material to newspapers globally. Each strip captures the classic chaos, charm, and slapstick wit that made Tom & Jerry one of the most beloved duos in cartoon history. The characters are expertly rendered in ink, with visible artist annotations including production dates such as "3/18" or "12/14" and copyright marks confirming production years across the strip run. Jarvis's name appears in ink on two strips, with Maurizio's signature complementing three others. These strips were not exclusive to U.S. syndication. Distributed in over 200 newspapers worldwide, including titles across Europe, the UK, Latin America, and Asia, the EPS run Tom & Jerry series brought the iconic cat-and-mouse duo to a truly international readership, many of whom experienced the characters first through print rather than animation.Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Animated Arts!, this is an important and highly collectable set of original artwork from a lesser-seen but globally significant chapter of Tom & Jerry's legacy. The lot exhibits some minor edge wear and marks. Dimensions (one strip): 50.5 cm x 19 cm (20" x 7.5")Sold without copyright; see copyright notice in the Buyer's Guide.VAT Status: M
