Antique map of the province of Lorn, Scotland, c. 17th century. Two pages of a book framed as one and hand coloured, mounted in frame and glazed front and back. 41cm x 54.5cm, 53.5cm x 67cm including frame. Label verso reads: 'Map from Bleau's Atlas (published Amsterdam, midd XVII Century) The Scottish parts were drawn by Timothy Pont, 1560-1614 "the first projector of Scotland;" and corrected and completed by Robert Gordon of Straloch, 1580-1661. There is nothing of Perthshire, the originals having been lost at sea.'
