Registration – FNB 438CChassis No. – 026386M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 67,045KM (41,659M)The Pininfarina designed Fiat 1500 Cabriolet is a very rare sight on UK roads. ‘FNB438C’ is a remarkable survivor and offers a superb provenance to boot. The first three keepers accounted for the first 58 years of this diminutive coupe’s life. The first owner has it imported directly from Fiat in Italy in 1965 making it UK registered from new. The first keeper kept ‘FNB438C’ until 2003, remarkably. The current vendor is listed as the fifth to date. ‘FNB438C’ is reported as having been sparing used throughout its life making its currently recorded 67,045kms an entirely feasible original reading. ‘FNB438C’ was fully resprayed in 2014 and underwent a full recommissioning in 2021 with both the aesthetics and mechanicals refreshed. Today ‘FNB438C’ is classified as an Historic Vehicle and so is zero rated for road tax and MOT exempt. This little Fiat last passed an MOT in June 2023, however. The Fiat 1500 Cabriolet was introduced when the original 1200 version was deemed too pedestrian to be considered a sports car in the Italian tradition. The 1500cc, four cylinder, alloy headed unit was inherited from the 1500 saloon and delivered around 80 bhp. A four speed manual gearbox is fitted. During its 2021 recommissioning a replacement brake master cylinder was fitted, together with a radiator top hose. A full service was undertaken, and the underside was treated with rust inhibitor. A brand new set of Michelin tyres have also recently been fitted. The vendor rates the mechanical aspects of ‘FNB438C’ as “excellent.”With a professional respray in 2014 the white livery looks crisp and clean. There is a moderate amount of chrome finished brightwork in evidence to include the bumpers, matrix grill, headlamp surrounds and make and model badges. The steel wheels are dressed in chromed, dome shaped Fiat hubcaps and the red fabric hood contrasts elegantly with this livery. The big rear window appears clear an uncracked. The sports orientated cabin is finished in various hues of red with the seats being more of an oxblood whilst the door cards and carpets are nearer a scarlet shade. The dashboard is an architype of 1960’s Italian charm, style and sophistication. The vendor rates the paintwork, bodywork and interior as “good.”In summary:A rare and stylish Fiat cabriolet with an excellent provenanceSubject to a 2014 respray and a 2021 recommissioningReported to be an excellent runner with everything working as it should (except the radio)
Registration – LNV 676LChassis No. – 2B1194BWM.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 59,765‘LNV676L’ is a very rare iteration of Sir William Lyons’ swansong – the XJ saloon. Being a Series I range topping V12 Vanden Plas model this car is one of just 351 originally built making it the rarest model from this first series of luxury saloons. ‘LNV676L’ is described as a non-running barn find and so offers an enticing opportunity to bring this rarest of models up to its former glory. With just six former keepers, the vendor acquired this survivor car around 4 years ago and it has been stored ever since. The Smiths odometer reads a shade under 60,000 miles which isn’t warranted but seems believable. ‘LNV676L’ is revealed as a long wheelbase version – 4 inches longer – by its chassis number which also confirms it as the 193rd of 351 made. Back in 1973 this car would have provided a viable alternative to a Rolls-Royce, Bentley or top of the range Mercedes-Benz. This car comes from the large private collection of an individual enthusiast and is offered here with NO RESERVE.The Daimler Double Six Vanden Plas Series I was only built for one year between September 1972 and September 1973, hence making it a very low volume and rarely seen model. This barn find example exhibits all the Series I cues including the deep, forward raked grill, vinyl roof and the special gunmetal finished, pressed steel wheels with Daimler chrome hubcaps. Even the original twin driving lights above the front bumper are still present. As a true Rolls-Royce alternative, the Vandan Plas was awash with rare refinements for 1973. This includes seating faced with leather to a special Vanden Plas design. Air-conditioning, a radio/stereo tape or 8 track (as included here) player with electric aerial and 4 speakers, remote-controlled driver’s door mirror, electric windows, heated rear window, reading lamps for rear passengers and red warning lights fitted to all doors were all standard and remain present here. ‘LNV676L’s’ paintwork, bodywork and interior are all described as “average.”The Series I Double Six, a Daimler model name last used in the mid 1920’s, provided the first saloon outing for the esteemed 5.3-litre V12 engine. It also made it the first mass production V12 saloon and simultaneously the "fastest full four-seater available in the world." In this early application the V12 was fitted with four carburettors and originally produced a bountiful 309bhp. This is mated to a Type 12 Borg Warner three speed automatic gearbox. ‘LNV676L’ is classed as a non-runner with the engine and electrics classed as “poor” and the transmission as “average.”In summary:A barn find example of the very rare Series I Daimler Double Six Vanden PlasPresents in a highly original and seemingly complete conditionOffering great potential for improvement and restoration
Registration – GAC 604CChassis No. – P1A10023.B.WM.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 87,136‘GAC 604C’ hails from 1965 and so is a pre-facelift example of the Daimler saloon, delineating it as the “2.5 V8” which would be renamed the “V8-250” at a later point. The 2.5 V8 was the first Jaguar designed car to wear a Daimler badge, basically being a re-branded MKII Jaguar saloon. ‘GAC 604C’ is a twelve former keeper car with the current vendor owning it for around 4 years or so. ‘GAC 604C’s’ odometer shows a recorded 87,136 miles which appears to be supported by the MOT history. This also suggests that the Daimler has covered less than 50 miles since 2010. ‘GAC 604C’ is classified as an Historic Vehicle and so is MOT exempt and zero rated for road tax. The Daimler was last MOT’d in 2019, comes from the large collection of an individual enthusiast, and is offered here with a history file and NO RESERVE.‘GAC 604C’ presents in the eye-catching and less common Opalescent Silver Blue livery with plenty of chromed brightwork to the radiator, bumpers and window surrounds. The Daimler is easily differentiated from its Jaguar cousin by the signature fluted radiator surround and boot trim piece. ‘GAC 604C’ sits on a desirable set of chromed, cross spoked wheels affixed with twin eared centre spinners complete with an embossed Daimler “D.” The luxurious cabin is finished in grey leather with blue carpets and plenty of wood veneer. The seats are heavily patinaed with the odd split and tear noted in places. Even the original push button radio is present, underlining the delightful originality of this example. The innovative 2.5-litre V8, Edward Turner designed engine fitted to is ‘GAC 604C’ one of the smallest production V8s ever produced. It is renowned for its smooth running as well as offering a great performance to economy ratio for a relatively heavy luxury saloon. ‘GAC 604C’ is fitted with a three speed Borg Warner automatic transmission with a column mounted gear change lever. Registration – PYM 949Chassis No. – 91927M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 51,000This regal 1955 Daimler Century is the sole survivor of just three cars built by high-end coachbuilders Hooper to design number 8404A. The elegant and graceful dark green aluminium alloy coachwork is complemented by a Dove Grey leather interior finished off by lashings of wood veneer. This carries a fitting patina and includes a set of beautiful rear picnic tables. The odometer reads just 50,200 miles. ‘PYM949’, which was registered in March 1955, has a charming push-button radio and period dials including a rev counter. The large steering wheel is covered in leather with a column gearshifter behind it. Overall, it is a wonderfully evocative car and a unique opportunity. The Daimler Century was a development of the 1953 Daimler Conquest. This car featured running gear developed from the Lanchester 14 and it used a 2,433cc straight-six engine that produced 75bhp. The Conquest Century arrived in 1954; as its name suggests, it was a more potent version that produced 100bhp, thanks to a big-valve alloy cylinder head, higher compression ratio, high-lift camshaft and twin SU carburettors. This gave it a 90mph top speed and a 0-60mph time of 16.3 seconds – swift indeed by mid-1950s standards. In summary:The sole surviving Daimler Century design number 8404A by HooperOdometer reads just 50,200 milesUnique opportunity to acquire a very rare machine

One of just 227 UK supplied carsExtremely low mileage exampleFreshly serviced at PorscheFolding carbon bucket seatsThe Porsche 981 Spyder is a limited-edition, high-performance version of the Boxster, designed for driving enthusiasts who crave a more focused, raw driving experience. Released in 2015, it stands apart from the regular Boxster with several key enhancements. Most notably, the 981 Spyder features a more powerful 3.8-litre flat-six engine sourced from the Porsche 911, delivering 375bhp compared to the Boxster's 265 to 330bhp options. The Spyder also benefits from a lighter, more minimalist approach, shedding unnecessary luxuries and focusing on performance. This includes a manually operated roof, sportier suspension, lightweight bucket seats and lightweight wheels, among many other changes. Visually, the Spyder’s design is distinct, with unique front and rear styling, including a more aggressive front fascia and a prominent ‘double bubble’ panel on the rear of the car. Inside, the 981 Spyder retains a stripped-back, driver-focused interior, with Alcantara upholstery and sportier touches. Together, these upgrades elevate the Spyder as a purer, more thrilling version of the Boxster. Just 227 cars were supplied to the UK, making them much rarer than a 981 GT4 and as a fun road car, the Spyder is probably the best options compared to the even more hardcore GT products. This example is finished in the classic colour combination for a Spyder, harking back to James Dean’s 550 Spyder, of GT Silver Metallic with Bordeaux Red leather and black Alcantara carbon folding bucket seats. The car has covered less than 15,000 miles from new and has been serviced exclusively by Porsche main dealers, most recently in April 2025 by Porsche Centre, High Wycombe. This example is specified with the Spyder classic package, sports exhaust, Bose surround sound, PCM, DAB radio, 20” Spyder wheels, Bi Xenon auto dimming headlights and light design package. The car has been ceramic coated with G-Techniq coating and the overall condition of the car is excellent. Supplied to auction with stamped service book and owner’s manuals, V5C registration document and MoT test certificate. You would really struggle to find a better car to enjoy a road trip in this summer than a 981 Spyder and a low mileage, well specified example like this is a sure-fire future classic. • Offered with mileage verification certificate• Comprehensive service history• ULEZ CompliantIn 2003, Jaguar introduced the re-engineered and newly designed third generation of the XJ. It featured an all-aluminium body and chassis and a new V8 engine. The V8 engine was offered in larger 3.5 and 4.2 litre as well as in a supercharged variation. A new six-speed automatic gearbox was fitted which was lighter and offered better economy. Air suspension was fitted at the front and rear, providing adaptive damping as well as rear self-levelling with computer-controlled ride height and suspension mode. Jaguar launched the X358 facelift to the X350 at the end of February 2007 with a revised lower grille, prominent faux side air vents, small boot lid spoiler, and revised seating. A Jaguar emblem within the grille replaced the previous bonnet-mounted mascot. This stunning low mileage example was first registered in 2007 and is presented in Liquid Silver Pearl with Barley piped leather trim. Sitting on 20-inch Callisto alloy wheels shod with Pirelli Tyres all round, this is a 2008 model year that were Ian Callum re-designed cars. A rare car being XJR powered (400bhp) with Sovereign levels of comfort and suspension settings, boasting a mere 36,782 miles from new with a mileage verification certificate supplied when the car was recently repatriated to the UK from Japan. The car is supplied with a new V5 registration document coupled to a new MoT test certificate valid until March 2026 with no advisories. We are informed the car boasts a service history from new as well as the mileage verification certificate, a full book pack, two keys and is ULEZ compliant. The car presents as new, unsurprisingly, but importantly has a full UK specification radio, speedo and satellite navigation so very much UK specification. Further treats on the car include Xenon headlamps, headlamp power wash, front and rear parking sensors, heated and cooled front seats with memory, electric recline and heated rear seats, rear electric screen blind and rear door blinds, electric steering, pedal and mirror adjust with memory, speed limit and cruise control, auto lights and wipers, picnic tables and double-glazed acoustic glass. Having recently sold a very similar car in excess of £28,000 with very similar mileage, this is sure to be a very popular example. Viewing is advised to appreciate the quality of a car which the vendor describes as a 10/10! Mercedes-Benz introduced the W123 four-door versions in January 1976 and, while there were some technical similarities to their predecessors, the new models were larger in wheelbase and exterior dimensions. The styling was also updated, although stylistic links with the W115 were maintained. In September 1982, all models received a mild facelift which included the rectangular headlights, previously only fitted to the 280/280E which were standardised across the board as was power steering. Since February 1982, an optional five-speed manual transmission was available in all models. Optional extras included MB-Tex upholstery, velour or leather upholstery, interior wood trim, passenger side exterior mirror, five-speed manual gearbox, four-speed automatic gearbox, electric windows, central locking, sunroof, air conditioning, climate control, Alpine horn, headlamp wipers, cruise control, power steering and heated seats. An original UK-market right hand drive example, this W123-generation 230 TE was specified with Champagne paintwork over a beige interior, and is equipped with the rare factory options of cruise control and ABS. First registered in January 1983, it has had only five keepers from new and was kept by the same family for 17 years prior to the present owner. Today, the bodywork remains in very good order. While the front wings have previously been restored, this is believed to have been due to corrosion rather than any accident damage, and the underside of the car has been fully cleaned and rust-proofed to protect it from the elements. Fully resprayed a few years ago at a cost of £5,000, the Champagne metallic paintwork still looks good, with only two minor blemishes on the scuttle panel and a bubble at the front driver’s side of the sunroof panel, which is commensurate with the vehicle’s age. All the body trims, including the brightwork and plastic mouldings present very well. This 230 TE rides on the correct set of chromed 14-inch wheels with gold hubcaps. All four feature some chips and scratches to their surfaces, so would perhaps benefit from refurbishment to match the quality of the paint. Inside, it still features all of its original upholstery and trim which appears to be in very good order, considering the car’s age and mileage. The seats are clad in hardwearing beige fabric and show few signs of use, save for some minor blemishes on the base of the driver’s seat. Trimmed in beige vinyl with matching cloth centre sections, the door cards are similarly smart, and while there is a small nick towards the bottom of the rear passenger-side item, this does not detract from the interior’s impressive overall condition. Entertainment is provided via a period-correct Becker Avus cassette player. This modern classic Mercedes’ most recent routine maintenance was an extensive service, which was carried out by specialist Cosford Hall Classic in late 2019 at around 157,000 miles. At a total cost of £9,000, this involved replacement of the brake components and a full engine service, as well as the fitment of a new distributor cap, rotor arm, HT leads and spark plugs, to name but a few items. Prior to this, the brake discs and pads were changed at 156,183 miles, and the timing chain was changed in September 2018. The engine was recently overhauled at a cost of £4500, new radiators installed new fuel injectors were renewed as were the fuel pipes and a new battery was installed. The radio has been changed to a recent Bluetooth one although the original Becker radio will be included with the car, which just need re attaching for use once again. A great classic Mercedes-Benz which has reached ‘cult’ status we believe. Consigned by James Good. ORIG RIGHT HAND DRIVE CARFULL RESPRAY A FEW DAYS AGO
Extensively upgraded ‘Go Anywhere’ Defender (read spec!)Absolutely excellent condition, ready for off road adventures right awayThere is little doubt that one of the most famous shapes on British roads over the last 50 years is the Land Rover. This ‘Go Anywhere’ vehicle has been used on airfields, as ambulances, crossing jungles, deserts and ice caps. The rear body not only presents in standard factory guise but with a huge range of adaptations such as pick-up trucks, tow trucks, general haulage and immediate triage on the front line. These working vehicles can also be utilised for pleasure, however, as is the case here. This is probably one of the best specified ‘Go Anywhere’ exhibition ready Defenders we have seen. Our vendor built this specifically for a 10 day 100% off road trip to Iceland and the brief was simply that the Defender must have everything required to live in it for the duration of the trip. The specification is extensive and over 800 hours were poured into building this vehicle to ensure it really could go absolutely anywhere necessary on the trip. The 300TDi was selected as the starting point, it’s an extremely strong and reliable engine and a new gearbox, transfer case, turbo, Richards galvanised chassis with galvanised gearbox crossmember and galvanised shock turrets was fitted. A 40 litre freshwater tank is fitted behind the seats with Jabsco filtered delivery system and external shower attachment. Twin fuel tanks with around 600 miles of range, Old Man Ecu shocks and steering damper with +2” heavy duty springs, all new stainless steel bolts and fittings throughout. New seals throughout, brakes refurbished with new pads, new lines, new gearbox mounts, new bushes and axles and trailing arms refurbished. A Kenlowe auxiliary fan has been fitted along with engine temperature management in the cab, adjustable towbar, snorkel and remote air intake. To assist with night driving, an LED light bar has been fitted to the roof rack and bulbar, new LED lights all round. To help with security, a Sigma S4 alarm and immobiliser have been fitted. The sleeping quarters are a Tentco Protent two-man roof tent with internal LED lighting and 12v sockets with full rear awning to match. Engine and gearbox, outrigger and bulkhead mud shields have been fitted underneath. A MEOS MC401B stereo with Maxon CM70 European CB radio had been fitted, an iPad dock and welded in floor safe have all been fitted. A Calor plug in gas system has been fitted as well as four Optima Leisure batteries, an onboard 240v inverter and an independent on-board air compressor system. The interior is also fitted with Neknic heated seats and an X Defender steering column lock, for added security. Finally, a clamshell roof box is fitted, providing much more storage space. Now that’s the specification finished… this really is no Chelsea tractor, everything has been thought of and it wants for absolutely nothing. Supplied with plenty of paperwork for the build and a V5C registration document, this Defender can be bought for a fraction of what it would cost to build today. Sport pack suspensionOne owner from newThe Jaguar XJS was a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 through to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XJS was actually more aerodynamic with the last one being produced on 4th April 1996; at that stage 115,413 had been produced during a 21-year production life.First registered 2nd May 1989 this rare manual transmission example is paired with the lighter 3.6 making it the fastest accelerating XJS, and also the most economical. Presented in Bordeaux Red metallic with contrasting Doeskin full leather interior with red piping it is being sold due to the 96 year old previous owner no longer able to enjoy. One owner from new although the V5 has been transferred to his daughters name so shows one previous keeper. Offered in excellent and highly original condition throughout, it was used mostly in its earlier life and then much less until it was put away for a number of years. Recently recommissioned by XJS Specialist XJ-Motor services which included a full service of all fluids and filters, spark plugs, various suspension components including rear trailing arms, drop links, bushes etc, a new water pump, some relays etc. It has also had a full geometry set up and MoT (which it passed with no advisories). Nearly £3,000 has been spent in the last few weeks to get it ready for sale.We are informed it has always been garaged and thus the paintwork is in excellent condition, with a smoothness and brightness of a car that's led an easy sheltered life. The gauges, heating and electrics all worked at time of consignment and we are informed the car drives wonderfully, smooth and powerful with the Getrag manual gearbox lovely to use which goes in to gear with no fuss. The interior is in superb condition, there is some light wear on the driver’s bolster, but no deformation. Supplied with a large history file, including the original bill of sale, service invoices, old tax discs, MoTs, all dealer correspondence, the original brochure, specification brochure, colour chart, price list, full owner's manual pack with stamped service book, the original cassette instructions and booklet for the radio. It also comes with all its original keys, the original complete toolkit and complete tool case, as well as the spare wheel. Having been Wax- oiled from new with original glass, panels, radio, original pinstripes on both sides and original number plates… garaged all its life when not in use this is quite likely one of the nicest XJS' for sale. The BMW 3 series is a compact executive car manufactured since May 1975 and has been produced in six different generations and in five different body styles. It is BMW's best-selling model accounting for around 30% of the BMW brand's annual total sales and has won numerous awards throughout its history. The E30 was sold from 1982 through to 1991 in saloon form and through to 1993 in convertible format. This very nice example is presented in Alpine White with tan leather interior and with the rare factory supplied brown roof. The previous owner was a reputable Ferrari technician who owned the car from 1994 to 2011 when our client purchased the car and it has covered a mere 6,000 miles since then. It was recommissioned in 2021 when a new water pump was fitted, new clutch plates, new clutch master and slave and hoses were fitted. The gearbox oil was also replaced. Its also worth noting that the car has been dry stored and never used in the wet since 2011 and it has 90% original paint, never been welded and has had no known accidents. It has some rare accessories such as Hartge BMW tuning, five 16” wheels/caps, steering wheel and gear knob and is fitted with rear head rests and has updated BT radio and speakers to standard specification. The Ford Escort was manufactured from 1968 to 2002. Low mileage exampleRare automatic gearboxLow ownershipArriving in late 1991, the VR6-engined version of the Volkswagen Corrado was hailed by CAR magazine as one of '25 cars you must drive before you die’, while Auto Express rated it as among ‘Volkswagen’s best ever drivers’ cars’. Sharing the same handsome Herbert Schafer-penned silhouette as its four-cylinder siblings, the newcomer sported a wider front track to accommodate its six-cylinder powerplant. Responsible for inspiring VAG’s later Bentley W12 and Bugatti W16 designs, the freshly developed engine featured an unusually narrow Vee angle of 15 degrees meaning that it only needs a single cylinder head. Sonorous and punchy, it produced some 188bhp and 181lb/ft of torque and was allied to either four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. Equipped with MacPherson struts up front and trailing arms plus a torsion beam at the rear, the manual VR6 was reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 6.7 seconds and 145mph; seriously impressive figures during the early 1990s and still respectable today.First registered on 10th December 1993, the Corrado on offer here was specified with the desirable VR6 engine. Interestingly it was also ordered from the factory with the very rare automatic gearbox, leather interior along with heated front seats. Presented in Dragon Green metallic, the car is totally original and comes fitted with its original 15” Speedline alloy wheels and still has its original Sony radio cassette player head unit fitted. The service history consists of eight stamps in the original service book, all carried out by the main agent dealer who supplied the car, Dovercourt of Battersea, London. Their final service was in 2005 at 26,316 miles and consisted of an engine oil and filter change, brake fluid and air filter change. Since 2005, the car has covered less than 3,000 miles. The vendor reports the car to drive very well and it will be supplied to auction with a new MoT test certificate.Supplied with a V5C registration document, original book pack with stamped service book, receipts, old tax discs and MoT test certificates including a new one valid through to February 2026. Becoming ever more collectable, low mileage examples of these fantastic Karmann built Volkswagens are near impossible to find.
