NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, A (1984) - Cast-Autographed Poster - A cast-autographed US one-sheet from Wes Craven's horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street. The artwork by Matthew Peak, son of the great poster illustrator Bob Peak, depicts Krueger with his face obscured and his trademark razor-clawed glove hovering above Nancy's terrified face. The poster is autographed in silver-coloured ink by Heather Langenkamp and Robert Englund, who played Nancy Thompson and Freddy Krueger, respectively. A Victorian coromandel gentleman's travelling vanity box, with brass mounted detail and central intertwined brass initials to top, hinged top lifting up to reveal fitted interior with mirror inside lid and fourteen silver gilt topped glass containers / jars, each with inset yellow metal cartouches engraved ESC matching lid to case, each silver top hallmarked by Frederic Purnell, London, 1872, front of box hinged and dropping down to reveal removable leather piece revealing space and a single drawer with a pair of gilt metal and mother of pearl boot jacks, lifting out to reveal a fitted area for a later comb with Chester hallmarked silver gilt top and gilt metal scissors and razor, with another concealed drawer (unable to open), lockable with key, overall sizes approx. 34.4cm wide x 26cm deep x 24.5cm high. Further details; exterior of box with minor loss and marks, small amount of scratching and general wear; few areas to brass trim / mounts with lifting or loss; small nibbles to few glass containers; interior in good condition for age with some marks to mirror and very slight loss to gilding on couple of containers but very good; wear to leather in areas.

Three: Private A. Dunford, Royal Irish Fusiliers, who died of wounds at Gallipoli on 16 August 1915, aged 18 years 1914-15 Star (17186. Pte. A. Dunford, R. Ir. Fus.); British War and Victory Medals (17186 Pte. A. Dunford. R. Ir. Fus.) good very fine (3) £140-£180 --- Albert Dunford was born in 1897 and served at Gallipoli with the 6th Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers from 7 August 1915 as part of 31st Infantry Brigade, 10th Irish Division. Disembarked at Suvla, the 6th Battalion took part in some of the hardest fighting of the campaign; most of the ‘rest’ areas were still within the range of Ottoman artillery and were harassed around the clock. Tasked to advance towards Hill 50 and Hill 53 (Green Hill and Chocolate Hill) and latterly, along the razor-back ridge of Kiretch Tepe Sirt, the Battalion suffered a 50% casualty rate with 561 men killed, wounded or missing in action within the first three weeks. Struck by a bullet in the abdomen, Dunford was evacuated from the peninsula aboard the hospital ship H.M.A.T. Assaye; he died of his wound a short while later on 16 August 1915. He has no known grave and is commemorated upon the Helles Memorial, Turkey.

Late 19th Century Earl of Lonsdale Louis Vuitton Large Case, in monogrammed LV canvas with red, white and yellow striped livery and cypher for the Earl of Lonsdale, gilt metal locks, leather buckled straps, a brown leather interior fitted for toiletries and accessories stamped 'Louis Vuitton 752867' including two brown leather mounted hinged boxes, folding manicure set (a.f.) with one tool, travelling inkwell, silver cigarette case, vesta, card case, cylindrical jar with screw top cover, another similar with hinged cover (lacking base), tot cup, five glass jars with silver covers, all these are engraved, or bearing silver mounted Earl of Lonsdale cyphers, silver marks by Frederick Purnell, London 1881, some pieces engraved 'H Lewis, 172 New Bond St', three further glass bottles with French silver mounts and screw top silver tops, spare bottle top and two mounts all impressed with Lonsdale cypher, other items comprise leather pouch and cover enclosing two candles, leather rectangular pocket, Vinolia shaving soap in original tin, leather razor strap impressed in gilt 'W J Guy 160A Piccadilly' and another with canvas reverse,76.5cm by 46cm by 22cm Case - Interior, leather underside of the lid is loose, only attached at the bottom and white wadding visible. Also coming loose where the lining is attached to the front and to the left hand side. Lots of wear overall to interior the worst affected is the area at the back above and within two pockets where leather has deteriorated, similar also to the left hand side compartments. A small patched repair on the right side, the majority of pockets show some wear, loose stitches.Exterior - scuffing and wear overall, two of the brass corners are split to the back right hand side. Damp to the base? and leather discoloured and tear.
