THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO (1966) - Five Film Reels in Carry Case - A set of five film reels from the production of David Lane's sci-fi puppet film Thunderbirds Are Go. This lot was originally sold as part of the Julian Bell collection within The Bray Studios Production Sale in 2020.The lot comprises five metal cans containing a 35mm CinemaScope film reel spooled around a coloured plastic centre. Each can is numbered one to five and has the production name handwritten in black. Various labels are stuck onto the can lids, including one "Anderson Burr Pictures" label. The cans come in a metal carry case. The metal on the cans and case exhibits rusting due to age, and some of the metal cans are bent out of shape in places. The sides in burr yew wood, each short side fitted with a drawer, one with paint cakes, mixing bowls, marble palette, glass ink well and sander, the other compartmentalised and lined in pink paper with various fittings including two removeable square boxes, three of four cylinder drizzling boxes, multiple reel, pin cushion, needle book, three whitewood cotton barrels and a pair of glass bottles with stoppers. Lot 405

A ‘Lady’s Companion’ of typical book form, circa 1860, the brown leather ground richly tooled with colour onlays and title to ‘spine’. The compartmentalised interior with leather skein holder / needle flannel / tool card with steel bladed silver mounted scissors and button hook, flanked by a silver pencil and a later silver blade folding knife. The front fitted with a replacement silver thimble, flanked by a reel drawer fitted with a blue glass silver topped scent bottle, 7.5 x 4.2 x 10.2cms.
