Loose leaves, partly with gilt edges, in marbled paper envelope in cardboard slipcase with gilt stamped monogram 'A.P.' and year 1812 (somewhat rubbed, upper edges of cover partially chipped). - August Gottfried Pacht (*1785 Göttingen - after 1838) studied civil engineering in Göttingen and was later a school inspector, scientific teacher and knight. - Contains entries in German and occ. in French from friends and pupils in Wolmar, among others, as listed above. - The sheet of music by Gregor von Krüdener. - The engravings, mostly by Wiederhold in Göttingen, mainly with views. - Margins slightly creased in places, one engraving with tear, otherwise overall well preserved.

A 19th Century 'Lith Picard Lion Geneve' Swiss music wooden box, contains 8 airs, listed on tune sheet under the lid, inlaid marquetry floral design to satinwood lid, box measures 19cm x 36.5cm x 13.5cm. Play-Stop and Change-Repeat levers working, all teeth present on comb, all the mechanisms apears to be working smoothly, the box has light age related wear but is in otherwise good condition, key is not present but the box is unlocked, in original antique unrestored condition, origin, private collection Mid-Wales.
