A delightful assemblage of five hand-painted German porcelain cherubs, comprising three music-themed angels by Volkstedt and two fruit-and-flower-bearing putti by Sitzendorf. Each figure is rendered in fine porcelain with delicate modeling and vibrant polychrome enamels, showcasing the playful spirit and craftsmanship of early 20th-century Thuringian porcelain production. The Volkstedt angels are presented in seated and kneeling positions, each playing a different gilded instrument: harp, trombone, and French horn. Their expressive faces, feathered wings, and musical poses highlight the factory's legacy of Rococo-inspired design. Underside markings include the blue crowned 'RW' insignia for Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur. The two remaining cherubs, attributed to Sitzendorf, are similarly adorned with gilt-tipped wings and hold abundant baskets of fruits and flowers. Their joyful features and romantic styling evoke classical allegories of abundance and celebration. These are marked beneath with the blue crown over 'S' hallmark used by the Sitzendorf factory. A charming ensemble of high-quality German figural porcelain, ideal for collectors of angelic miniatures and continental decorative arts. Largest piece 4"H.
