Registration – MHW 895Chassis No. – 621860M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 24,358‘MHW895’ is a striking example of the post-war MKV Jaguar in optimal 3.5-litre saloon form. In its current crisp white livery and curvaceously winged body, ‘MHW895’ exhibits a charming, almost ethereal, persona. This MKV is a home market specified and supplied right hand drive model hailing from 1949. Just under 6,000 in this specification were originally made with the Jaguar Drivers’ Club knowing of just 81 remaining as far back as 1988. That number will have likely significantly decreased by now. With just 4 registered former keepers to date, ‘MHW895’ was acquired by the vendor in August 2021. Currently the MKV records 21,500 miles covered which, whilst can’t be warranted, is thought to be realistic. With an MOT exemption and zero rating for road tax based on its age, ‘MHW895’ comes from the large collection of an individual enthusiast, is offered with some insightful supporting paperwork and is realistically guided for such a rare example.Although the MKV was an interim model produced for just three years whilst an all new model was developed, Jaguar did not skimp on its specifications. The MKV became the first Jaguar with independent front suspension, hydraulic brakes and designed to be produced in both left and right hand drive. It was also the first to wear rear spats, which ‘MHW895’ showcases so well. Originally finished in grey, ‘MHW895’ today wears a bright white livery that works very well with the running boards, heavily contoured wings, tall chrome radiator shroud and big, faired in headlamps. The saloon style body provides room for five adults and is trimmed in a rarely seen off white leather lending ‘MHW895’ a distinctive, angelic demeanour.‘MHW895’s’ 3.5-litre pushrod engine based on a Standard design rendered it as the top of the MKV range and producing around a quoted 120bhp which was good for in excess of 90mph back in its day. A four speed manual gearbox also features. Much money has clearly been spent to result in the condition you see here today. Accompanying paperwork, for example, documents over £14,000 having been spent since 2017 with over £9,000 of that expended on body and chassis repairs in 2017. The remainder of the spend relates to items both mechanical and aesthetic in nature. In summary:A very rare, striking looking example of the MKV JaguarA reportedly low owner, low mileage example with much spent in recent yearsPresenting in a charming “white over white” livery which is highly desirable

Registration – KYU 126Chassis No. – 622246M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 94,682‘KYU126’ is a two-tone example of the post-war MKV Jaguar in optimal 3.5-litre saloon and from the penultimate year of production. ‘KYU126’ is remarkable for being in the hands of just its third owner despite its 75-year age. The current owner acquired ‘KYU126’ at auction in 2021 with the Jaguar having covered less than 10 miles since then. The available MOT history also confirms that only around 800 miles have been covered since 2006. This MKV is a home market specified and supplied right hand drive model hailing from 1950. Just under 6,000 in this specification were originally made with the Jaguar Drivers’ Club knowing of just 81 remaining as far back as 1988. That number will have likely significantly decreased by now. ‘KYU126’ is thought to have been restored in the mid 1990’s to include paintwork and interior. With an MOT exemption and zero rating for road tax based on its age, ‘KYU126’ is offered with some insightful supporting paperwork and photographs from various periods of its long history. Comes to us from the large collection of an individual enthusiast. The MKV was a technical tour-de-force, and became the first Jaguar with independent front suspension, hydraulic brakes and designed to be produced in both left and right hand drive. It was also the first to wear the distinctive rear spats. ‘KYU126’ is finished in distinctive, two tone Seafrost and Black with impressive “double-decker” chromed bumpers. The saloon style body provides room for five adults and is trimmed in a tan leather with accents of chrome and varnished, wooden veneers which were refurbished during the restoration, too. It is further reported that a full, original toolkit is present in the boot.‘‘KYU126’s’ 3.5-litre pushrod engine is based on a Standard design but built by Jaguar and rendered it as the top of the MKV range, producing around a quoted 120bhp. This was found to be good for in excess of 90mph back in its day. A four speed manual gearbox also features. So good was ‘KYU126’s’ restoration, that it appeared in a Classic Cars magazine feature in December 2003. A laminated copy of this article is reported to be present in the paperwork archive. In summary:A very rare, striking two-tone example of the MKV JaguarJust three owners to date and the subject of a diligent restoration in the mid 1990’sComplete with an instructive paperwork archive

Registration – ULX 512Chassis No. – 277336M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 59,031Originating from 1957,’ULX512’ is from the last year of the so called “EIP” or “E-series” designation Velox models. This was a longer, wider variant introduced in 1951 which shared its body with the Vauxhall Wyvern. ’ULX512’ is a characterful example of Vauxhall’s luxury six-cylinder saloon designed to compete with the Ford Zephyr and the Austin Westminster. ’ULX512’ is offered from a period of stable, enthusiast ownership dating back to 2009. Today the E-series Velox is a rare car indeed with only around 20 thought to still exist in the UK. Last MOT’d in 2008 at 58,500 miles it seems clear that ’ULX512’ has had sparing recent use with just 500 miles or so added since then. Today ’ULX512’ offers MOT exempt and zero rated road tax status based on its Historic Vehicle classification and comes with a number of original workshop manuals.’ULX512’s’ looks reflect Vauxhall’s 1950’s penchant for offering cars with blatantly American inspired styling. This gives the Velox real road presence and charm by the bucket load, being so fundamentally different from the cookie cutter models of today. ’ULX512’ has benefitted from a more contemporary respray in Dove Grey as well as being fitted with a complement of “new old stock” chromed brightwork. This combination, together with the partial spats at the rear, the full width “grinning” grill and the ostentatious bonnet ornament make ’ULX512’ s surefire head turner. The vendor considers the paint and bodywork as “good.” The interior is equally as charming with twin full width bench seats providing the accommodation. These are finished in brown, box pleated vinyl with the whole interior also rated as “good.”Given ’ULX512’s’ luxury saloon status a 2,262cc inline six cylinder OHV engine features. Configured more for sedate and refined cruising than outright speed this unit was originally rated at around 65bhp. This originally gave the Velox a perfectly respectable, for the time, 80 mph top speed. A three speed manual gearbox is fitted. During the current ownership a new wiring harness has been fitted. All mechanical aspects of ’ULX512’ are vendor rated as “good.”In summary:· One of only around 20 Velox E-series cars thought to remain in the UK· Presenting well due to a contemporary respray and new old stock chrome· Complete with some useful, original workshop manuals

Build in excess of £100,000280bhp 3.8 litre engine with limited slip differentialGumball 3000 rally entrantEngine rebuild circa 200 miles agoThe Coombs Jaguar is a modified version of the Jaguar Mk. II 3.8 litre that was prepared for racing in the 1960s by the Coombs race team. The Coombs Jaguar was known for its performance, handling, and braking, and was driven by notable drivers including Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori. Essentially, the Coombs conversion for road cars consisted of an uprated engine matched by steering and suspension modifications, but the company offered a plethora of options from which customers could choose. They included an additional fuel tank, a wood-rim steering wheel and a chrome plated boot rack. Coombs would also modify the rear wheel arches, removing the spats and making up rolled edges to match the profile of the front wheel arches. The primary objective of this was to improve access for wheel changing during motorsport events, but the modification improved the appearance of the car so much that it is surprising Jaguar themselves did not adopt the modification for production cars. Not all the Coombs cars had the same state of tune, but the typical engine had 9:1 compression pistons, a lightened flywheel and a different carburettor air-intake system. The whole bottom-end assembly would be balanced and the cylinder head would be gas-flowed. A number of Coombs-style cars feature a louvred bonnet but this was not an advertised option in the early days. This stunning Coombs evocation was purchased by our vendor in 2005 as a standard manual 3.4 litre Mk. II. A two-owner car at the time, it was first registered on 7th May 1969. Our vendor ran the car and enjoyed it for some time, in 2011 the decision however was taken to fully restore and uprate the car to a fast road, ‘Coombs Evocation’ with no stone unturned, a project that spanned three years completing in 2014. The cost of the build was well into six figures and when completed the quality, comfort and ability of the car enabled our vendor to take the car on the Gumball 3000 rally, stretching its legs amongst modern Lamborghinis, Ferraris and the world’s top supercars, rubbing shoulders with celebrities on the way.The build for HOO 429B started with a chemical dipped bodyshell prior to any repairs, then a second chemical dip before an ‘E Cote’ was carried out on the completed bodyshell. The engine compartment and inner wings were modified to accommodate the additional required equipment and the 3.4 litre engine was raised to 3.8 litres. Specially designed performance camshafts were made and added to component upgrades with Triple SU carburettors during the rebuild providing 280bhp at the flywheel and 315 lbft of torque at 4600rpm fed by twin fuel tanks with two position Monza filling caps. The engine is mated to a five speed fully re-built ‘Supra’ gearbox and bespoke prop shaft with limited slip differential. The suspension was poly bushed and powder coated and sits on classic Koni race shock absorbers behind the Borrani wire wheels and three eared Borrani spinners. A stainless-steel exhaust manifold is mated to a bespoke stainless-steel exhaust system and stopping is courtesy of up-rated Coopercraft brakes with dual action servo while cooling via an aluminium radiator and Kenlowe electric cooling fan. Other necessary mechanical upgrades include an up-rated alternator bespoke pedal box with brake balance bar, power steering, oil cooler and bespoke handbrake system. The car received full bespoke re-wiring before the inside of the car was subject to a raft of upgrades including, upgraded wiper system, electric central locking, electric windows front and rear, twin air conditioning systems to maximise ‘in car’ cooling, Sundym glass throughout with heated front and rear windscreen and self-dimming rear view mirror. The entire car benefited from a Dynamat sound proofing, Inertia seatbelts were fitted to all seats and a special under rear seat battery box housing a high technology race battery. The car has a high-end sound system, DVD entertainment, safety and security ‘tracker’ system and a raft of addition convenience lights fitted to the front footwell compartments, under the boot and bonnet, kerb/sill lights on the lower edge of all four doors along with modern door open lights fitted to opening face/edge on all four doors.Of course, this is all in a cabin finished with European Walnut trim throughout and full leather upholstery with uprated non-Mk. II Jaguar, bespoke trimmed front seats fitted with electric assist motors, seat heaters and Jaguar bespoke trimmed heated rear seats. Looking down the nose of the Coombes style aluminium bonnet and with the necessary wheel spats and Mk. II chromework, this is a stunning example. The shut lines are fantastic and unlike any Mk. II our consignor has seen, the doors shut with an almost Germanic thud rather than a typical Mk. II clang!Having completed the Gumball rally in 2014 and enjoyed the Mk. II, our vendor has more recently had the engine fully rebuilt with the run in process complete but barely a few hundred miles covered since. Being part of a larger collection it has been used sparingly since its 2014 exploits and warm garaged when not used. One of, if not the most comprehensive upgraded builds we have had the pleasure to offer, this example is sure to be very popular with both Jaguar enthusiasts but also those looking for something very special. A build over £100,000, a 280bhp 3.8litre engine recently rebuilt and having in 2014 completed one of the world’s most iconic modern driving events, where will you take it next! Registration No: ESV 934 Chassis No: 5562133378 MOT: ExemptBelieved all original example that still wears its livery of Metallic Green over Light Green plain broad-cloth upholsteryImported to the UK in 1984 and then laid up in dry storage until nowOffered as an exciting non-running projectDisplaying a c.25,837 miles on the odometer (not warranted)Styling and horsepower were the watchwords of '50s American car design and no examples epitomised the thinking more than the voluptuous Harley Earl-penned Cadillacs. For the lower, sleeker body of the Series 62 model introduced in 1953, the effect of the distinctive tailfins that had been the company's hallmark since 1948 were heightened by: a redesigned grille with heavier integral bumper and tapered dagmar-style bumper guards, prominent headlamp eyebrows, smoothly curved one-piece rear window and a fresh design of full-size chrome wheel trim. Cadillac changed their grille design every year, but in 1955, the grille was redesigned with wider spaces between the blades and the parking lamps were repositioned directly below the headlights. On the sides of the body the rub-rail moldings formed a right angle with the vertical trim on the rear doors or fenders. Built for the 1955 model year, little is known of the early history of chassis number 5562133378, but evidence suggests that the car spent its early life around the Philadelphia, PA area thanks to a Keystone Automobile Club sticker on the rear valence. The vendor and long-term current owner discovered this remarkably original car for sale on a trip to the US in the early 1980s and imported it back home to the UK via the Liverpool docks. When the Cadillac arrived, it was immediately registered in the UK as 'ESV 934' and driven back from Liverpool to its long-term home in East London before immediately being laid up in dry storage until late December 2024 when the decision was made by the vendor to sell it. The storage conditions have done wonders to preserve the car in its original Metallic Green paint scheme and the original duo-tone Green broad-cloth interior has also survived intact (albeit with some small repairs to perform where 70-year-old stitching has let go). Now offered as a very exciting project, 'ESV 934' is described by the vendor as being 'surely the most original example of its type in the UK which remains very solid'. We are sure that any prospective purchaser would be hard pressed to decide whether to sympathetically recommission the mechanical parts and run it in 'oily rag' guise or to use this un-messed with example to conduct a full restoration. To be offered without reserve, this Elvis-era '55 'Caddy' is supplied with UK V5C and registration plates, hub caps and rear-wheel spats, original jack and a charming period set of snow chains in their original Allstate box. Registration – YNP 14G Chassis No. – P1K5564BW M.O.T. – Exempt Odometer – 72,964 1969, from which ‘YNP14G’ hails, was the last year of production of the Daimler V8 250. Its chassis number reveals it to be just 216 cars from the last right hand drive example produced. As such ‘YNP14G’ represents the final, facelifted iteration of this luxury sports saloon with its slimline bumpers, overriders and padded dash top roll. Essentially a rebadged MKII Jaguar, the 2.5 V8 as it was known at launch in1962, became the first Daimler to be offered on Jaguar underpinnings and the last to feature a Daimler engine. And what an engine. ‘YNP14G’ is fitted with the highly prized 2.5-litre V8, Edward Turner designed powerplant mated to a three speed Borg Warner type D1/D2 automatic transmission. Presenting today with a sensible, seemingly genuine 72,964 miles recorded, with less than 2,000 of those added since 2018. ‘YNP14G’ has been the subject of a thorough restoration a little over 10 years ago. This included professionally stripping and respraying the body shell. A replacement gearbox was fitted in 1978, a stainless steel exhaust installed around 4,000 miles ago together with the power steering system being reconditioned, and a new prop shaft bearing fitted. The front brakes were overhauled at the same time, while the rear brakes were replaced around 1,000 miles ago. In the last few months two new rear tyres have been fitted, a service with new engine oil and filter has been undertaken and a modern, spin-on oil filter conversion performed. All wheel arches have been cleaned and re-undersealed as a precautionary measure. ‘YNP14G’ is offered complete with an extensive file of provenance providing paperwork, which includes original handbooks and radio operating instructions as well as the service book with a full 28 stamps inside. All the old MOTs are included, as are the original Daimler documents with service chart. ‘YNP14G’ presents very well in the charming period hue of Ascot Fawn. This together with just the right amount of chrome brightwork, the signature Daimler fluted radiator cowl and the distinctive “partial spats” at the rear ensure that this Daimler saloon remains a real head turner today. The interior is veritable sea of crimson, box pleated leathers, walnut veneers, chromed fittings and sumptuous wool carpeting. The originality quotient is appealingly high and the overall condition of ‘YNP14G’ is vendor rated as “good” throughout. What a rare and tempting example of this exclusive Daimler sports saloon. In summary: · One of the last Daimler V8 250s to leave Browns Lane · Benefitting from an earlier, thorough restoration and in a fine overall condition · Complete with a comprehensive and instructive paperwork archive

Equipped with coil-and-wishbone independent front suspension, a leaf-sprung Salisbury rear axle and four-wheel disc brakes. Available with 2.4, 3.4 and 3.8 Litre engines and with either automatic or manual transmissions, the MkII is still a desirable and usable classic in modern times. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Production Record states this desirable MkII 3.4 manual with overdrive was manufactured in May 1961 and has been in current ownership for the past 7 years. In 2017 the son of the original owner bought the car from an H&H auction, the odometer displays just some 45,000 miles today. The MkII was stored at a farm until 2001, at this point a restoration began which did not complete until 2005. This was evidently done to a very high standard. New door skins and bottoms, inner and outer sills and several new repair panels were fitted, plus new seat cushions were fitted below the preserved original leather on the reclining front seats, along with new carpets and a headlining. The interior woodwork was restored and a new wiring loom fitted, along with a conversion to alternator charging. The paint was applied by Jaguar restoration specialist Alan Proctor of Worksop.By September 2012 it had been acquired by a lady of Wotton-Under-Edge. Some £27,000 was spent in ownership, over the course of 2 years between 2012 and 2014 with Peter Chambers Automotive, with attention paid to front and rear shocks, a gearbox rebuild, an engine overhaul and removal of the power steering system (to increase the steering feel) with new non-assisted parts fitted. Back in the ownership of the family that originally owned '168 DFJ', the car has been dry stored and used sparingly on only the best of days covering just over 1,000 miles in these 7 years. The vendor has informed us that aluminium radiator coils were fitted last year to the benefit of the cooling system. This MkII is offered with a pair of Coombs-style rear wheel spats and the power steering components that were removed. It also boasts a large history file with a comprehensive number of invoices, a Production Record Certificate, detailed restoration notes and photographs and an original handbook.*Photos 112-198 document the extensive restoration of 168DFJ between 2001 and 2005PLEASE NOTE: This lot does not come with the electric power steering unit mentioned in the printed catalogue. A rather imposing example of the third generation of Humber's 4-litre, six-cylinder, post-war limousine. Introduced in 1950, the MK III was distinguished by spats over the rear wheels, dome-shaped bumpers and the rectangular stainless steel foot-treads on the running-boardsMechanical improvements included a rear Panhard rod which limited sideways movement of the rear wheels permitting the use of softer springsFirst registered on 06/03/1952, this example is classically presented in black with 'whitewall' tyresLovely interior in gently patinated red leather with beige carpets, a polished wood dashboard and a Bakelite steering wheel and switchesPowered by a 4,086cc straight-six generating 113bhp and offering 0-60 in 19 seconds and 82mph. 4-speed column change gearboxSadly the history file was mislaid by the previous keeper but it does appear that the car has had the benefit of some restoration work during its lifeThis venerable Humber is used on a regular basis by its current owner as it drives so well and is often seen and admired at a few watering holes in WarwickshireSpecification Make: HUMBER Model: SUPER SNIPE Year: 1952 Chassis Number: A8005307H0 Registration Number: LVC 304 Transmission: Manual Engine Number: A8005307H0 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 8305 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Red LeatherClick here for more details, condition report and images

1969 Jaguar 240 Saloon                          Registration Number: VVB 769G Chassis Number: 1J4050BW Recorded Mileage: TBA - Subject of sympatheic restoration in current ownership Although the Mk I was a great success, selling four times as many as the larger Jaguar saloons, Jaguar boss William Lyons was not content. He knew it could be improved. Happily, virtually every aspect that had been criticised received attention in the new MkII range of October 1959. Similar in appearance but with a much larger glass area, the Mark II boasted a wider rear track to improve road holding, together with minor front suspension changes to reduce body roll and all round discs rather than drum brakes. Engine options included the 120bhp 2.4 litre, the 210bhp 3.4 litre and, for the first time the 220bhp 3,781cc unit of the Mk IX. Jaguar saloons led the field in production and touring car racing during much of the 1960s. Not surprisingly the quickest and most successful private entries came from John Coombs’ Jaguar dealership in Guildford. John Coombs had significant race experience and his dealership simply got it right for a fortunate few racing enthusiasts. Very early on that included Hill, Salvadori and Salmon. Production of the 3.8ltr engined cars ceased in 1967 but production of the 240 and 340 continued using the same platform and instantly recognisable body shape. Offered today is an exceptionally well presented example of the 240, having been the subject of an 8-year rolling sympathetic restoration. An Automatic model, the 240 is currently fitted with ‘sports’ spats to the rear (a pair of more conventional spats are included in the sale). Finished in a beautiful shade of Aston Martin Silver Birch, with blue leather trim and nicely preserved interior fittings and veneers, the vendor informs us the 240 drives very well, representing an economical and practical entry into classic Jaguar ownership.
