A Royal Albert Moonlight Rose patterned tea and dinner service, comprising plates, tureen, gravy boat, tea cups, saucers, salt and pepper, vases etc. +/- 85 pieces One egg cup has discolouration to the foot, one of the large oval meat plates has knife scratches to the base, one coffee can has a chip to the rim and another has a small amount of yellow discoloration around the handle. The milk jug and lidded sugar bowl both have some slight yellowing around the handle, a small urn shaped vase has a full length crack, small lidded vase has a discoloured lid to the interior. All items appear to be first condition and the gilding is in good condition. All items show signs of use but nothing untoward other than the items that we have previously mentioned.
Eric Ravilious Wedgwood Garden pattern dinner service, six 10" plates, six 9" plates, six 6" tea plates, six soup bowls and saucers, two tureens, two sauce boats with saucers and two ashettes 12 3/4" and 14 3/4" (see illustration). All items are in good condition, We can see no signs of any chips, cracks, or restoration.
A SPODE PORCELAIN ORNITHOLOGICAL PART DESSERT SERVICE, PATTERN NO. 2932 CIRCA 1820 Decorated with a central panel of a bird in a naturalistic setting, within an embossed border painted with flowers and insects, comprising: two ice pails, liners and covers, 26.5cm high, a twig- handled shaped rectangular pedestal serving dish, 33cm long, two twig- handled shaped rectangular serving dishes, 29cm long, two sauce tureens, covers and stands, 16cm high, two shaped oval serving dishes, 29cm long, four lozenge shaped serving dishes, 28cm long, four shell shaped serving dishes, twenty-one dessert plates, 21.5cm diameter and twenty-four smaller dished plates, iron- red factory marks and painted pattern no. 2932 versoAccording to Leonard Whiter (Spode, Barrie & Jenkins, London, (1970), these floral embossed borders where introduced to Spode tea wares and dessert wares in about 1813. Using the author's helpful calculator, pattern no. divided by 150 + 1800 = approximate date of introduction of pattern. This would suggest that pattern no. 2932 was introduced in 1819. Condition Report: One shaped rectangular twig-handled serving dish with a large chunk of the corner missing. Some light wear to the gilding, note leading edges of rims etc. One ice pail has a firing fault to the handle. The large chunk missing from from the corner of one serving dish is the only serious damage to have been found. Some knife cuts and scratches indicating that the service has had some use, but light.Some light wear generally. Please apply to the Dept. for additional images.Condition Report Disclaimer
A WEDGWOOD BLUE JASPER SOLITAIRE BREAKFAST TEA SERVICE CIRCA 1784 Perhaps composite, to include a tray, a small mug, a sugar bowl and cover, a teapot and cover, a coffee pot and cover, a milk jug and a tea cup and saucer, all sprigged in white with scenes of 'Domestic Employment' designed by Lady Templeton, impressed 'WEDGWOOD' marks the tray 34.5cm wide, the coffee pot and cover 15cm high Provenance: From the estate of the late Geoffrey and Gina OxborrowCf. Wolf Mankowitz, Wedgwood, Pg. 182, Fig. 80 for a similar tea service. Condition Report: Chipped section missing to inside teapot cover rim, not visible from the exterior. Also chipped section missing from the rim of the milk jug, crack from rim to finial as a result, not visible from exterior. Teacup cracked. Blemish to the saucer rim. A Nautilus porcelain part service, poppy decorated, with six cups, eleven saucers, twelve tea plates, two cake plates and a bowl. One of the tea plates with a manufacturer flaw to the rim (slightly misshapen). It has a small chip to footrim. Another teaplate with a footrim chip. One of the cups with a section broken and rivet repaired.
