Fitted interior with four tea caddies and two mixing bowls, on a lotus-carved column and tripartite base with reel-shaped bun feet. 55 cm diameter x 75 cm overall heightGood overall condition, with no major issues. A 19th century rosewood circular teapoy, the hinged cover enclosing fitted compartments and glass mixing bowls, on fluted column terminating on a tri-base, height 77cm.Condition Report: The feet are mission two discs, splits and losses throughout, the wooden containers are original we believe the glass mixing bowls are associated.
An Early Victorian Rosewood Circular Teapoy, with square edge to top, plain frieze, the pop-up mechanism revealing fitted interior with original fitments, on octagonal turned central column, rectangular inswept base and leaf and scroll carved supports with castors, 18ins diameter x 29ins highTo the top there is some general light scattered scratching. Around the edges there is some light rubbing and general edge knocks. To the left hand side at the top there is a line, not a split or crack but is visible running vertically from one end to the other. At the lower edge of the top there is a rectangular piece of veneer loss around 1ins x 3ins long. Some veneer cracking all the way round in vertical sections each around 1ins long. The pop up mechanism does work however is a little stiff and the velour lined interior is worn and distressed and there are some areas of damage in the circular insets. On the lower section of the top there is some general rubbing to the polish. To the base and feet there is general heavier wear commensurate with age and some slight shrinkage and veneer cracking to various places. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.
A quantity of furniture to include: Upholstered part tapestry footstool with barley twist turned legs 50 cm W x 42 cm W x 32 cm H. Condition, good (wear etc commensurate with age); small drop leaf sofa table 50 cm H x 51 cm D x 113 cm L with leaves up. Condition, fairly good, scratches and marks to top in places; mahogany bed side table with galleried top and single drawer 64 cm H 38 cm x 43 cm. Condition, marks and wear commensurate with age and use; bow fronted demi-lune graduated Whatnot with turned supports. Condition, some losses to frieze etc (some pieces are present in attached bag) 115 cm H x 64 cm W x 31 cm D; Burr Walnut jardiniere 46 cm H condition. Condition, base to drawer badly perished, base to jardiniere also perishing, much wear; Rosewood and brass inlaid teapoy 74 cm H.
