The hilts are covered in stingray skin for better grip, with brass fittings at the ends, with one sword having a rounded pommel and the other a disc-shaped tip. Ornate Miao headdress, potentially a bridal crown of alpaca festival crown. Comprised of a fine embroidered and pleated textile cap, upon which is mounted a repousse metal register of figures riding alpacas and a central dragon motif, suspending conical silver pendants. The register is also accented with repousse flowers or suns on springs. The top mounted with an ornate garden of three dimensional flowers and six long-tailed birds, all suspending pendants. David Bowie. Tyrannosaurus Rex. For The Lion And The Unicorn In The Oak Forests Of Faun. 13th January 1969. Music concert programme. 20.5 x 25.5 cm. T-Rex, with support from Vytas Serelis - Sitar, David Bowie - Mime. John Peel was also present. This was a performance where Bowie was a mime, on Mark Bolans suggestion he performed a ten minute mime protesting Chinas invasion of Tibet, which wasnt well received. This all before the release of Bowie's Space Oddity.
