This vintage lacquered wood trunk features striking Asian-inspired design elements, with hand-painted panels depicting stylized lotus blossoms, foliage, and traditional Chinese calligraphy. The body of the trunk is richly finished in a red lacquer tone, accented by golden floral borders and fitted with decorative wrought metal hardware including a central latch, side handles, and corner brackets. The top and side panels include poetic inscriptions and brushwork details typical of Chinese decorative arts, suggesting this piece was either made in or heavily inspired by traditional Chinese craftsmanship.
