Description
A JADE 'BIRD' HAT ORNAMENT Song/Yuan Dynasty Finely carved as a bird with a short incurved beak, its short wings folded flat upon the back marked with fine incisions, its claws neatly tucked beneath, the head with a ring diadem compressing long hair which combed back and fell around the back, the stone of an even white tone with russet patches highlighting the head and feathers, fitted box. 4.5cm (1 3/4in) long (2).
