Biography
WILLIAM CONOR RHA RUA ROI (1881 - 1968)
William Conor was one of Ireland’s most celebrated draughtsmen and genre artists, best known for his depictions of everyday life in Belfast and beyond. Trained at the Belfast School of Art and later working in Paris and London, he became a member of the RHA and RUA. His drawings and pastels often focused on working-class subjects and musicians, rendered with warmth, vitality, and acute observation.
