GEORGE GILLESPIE RUA (1924 - 1996)
George Gillespie was a Northern Irish landscape and genre painter, celebrated for his pastoral scenes, farmsteads, and impressionistic treatment of light and form. A member of the Royal Ulster Academy, he exhibited widely throughout Ireland and is represented in several public and private collections. His paintings are cherished for their warmth, technical assurance, and evocative views of Irish rural life.
