A finely observed rural scene rendered in O’Conor’s distinctive hand, depicting an open field with trees and a path leading toward a distant house and tower. The etched lines vary in weight and density, conveying both depth and movement in the landscape. A rare and intimate example of the artist’s draughtsmanship outside his more widely known post-impressionist paintings. Presented in a dark stained wood frame with gilt slip and engraved name plaque. Known for his experimental use of colour and texture in painting, his works also include a substantial body of expressive figure studies. O’Conor’s drawings are prized for their sensitivity, modern aesthetic, and assured technique, and are held in major international collections.
