ALEXANDER WILLIAMS RHA (1846 - 1930)
Alexander Williams RHA was a noted Irish landscape and marine painter, as well as a naturalist and writer. He was a member of the Royal Hibernian Academy and exhibited prolifically throughout his career. His works are celebrated for their atmospheric treatment of the Irish landscape, especially the west coast and Achill Island, where he spent many summers painting en plein air.
