A Japanese Arita porcelain dish - late 19th century, the lozenge shaped dish with a scalloped rim, painted with a central Imari palette reserve within four panels painted with beasts and flowers within shaped reserves, on alternating lavender and green and gilt diaper grounds, divided by iron red and gilt leaves, the underside painted with further flowers and floral reserves, painted fuku mark to base, 26.5 x 20.3cm.
* Tiny firing flaw crack to rim. Some wear to iron red and gilt decoration and also a few rubbed areas to the diaper grounds to the upper interior. Kiln dust to the glaze around the edges throughout and tiny underglaze chip to the footrim from manufacture.
