Late 19th early 20th century Chinese silver tankard of tapering form, with presentation inscription, embossed decoration of boat scenes, against a bamboo background and dragon handle, on a circular base (Underside with Chinese character marks and S.S). All at approximately 7ozs. 12.3cm overall height.General overall condition quite good, some surface wear and scratching, dents/dings to rim and body, base is pushed in and tankard does not sit square. Edwardian silver tankard, with embossed decoration and engraved "LDRA THE McCALMONT CUP 1907", loop handle and hinged cover (pin lacking), with Britannia finial (London 1907) Carrington & Co, together with another, similar, without engraving (London 1911) same maker. All at approximately 22ozs. Both approximately 15cm overall height. Exceptional R S Prussia China tankard pitcher featuring the mold 29 Lily pattern with a scalloped base and highly ornate Art Nouveau-inspired handle. The central panel showcases a finely detailed portrait transfer of Madame Recamier, bordered by lustrous lavender iridescent bands in the signature Tiffany-style finish. Embellished with intricate gilt accents and molded lilies at the rim, the pitcher exemplifies the decorative richness associated with late 19th to early 20th-century Prussian porcelain. An important late 17th Century silver Tankard, hallmarked Isaac Dighton, London, date c. 1688/89, the top with inscription "Allye Course in ye Ryne in Thomond ye 14th of May. This Plate was won by ye 3rd horse Anno Domi - 1701," the main body of reeded form with central medallion depicting etched design of man on horseback, with conforming reeded scroll handle, approx. 7 ounces, approx. 10cms (4") high. (1) Provenance: The Westropp Family, Ballysteen House, Ballysteen, Co. Limerick. Note: The word "Ryne" is suggested that it refers to a townland adjacent to Quin Village, Co. Clare (which relates to Thomond). The Townland was thought to be owned by Ryan.

An English creamware Admiral Lord Nelson jug, circa 1805, transfer-printed in black featuring portrait bust with inscription relating to his death in 1805, opposed by a map of the Battle of Trafalgar with lengthier inscription, 17.5cm high; sold together with an English creamware tankard with Vicar of Moses print and lengthy verse, 15cm high (both heavily restored/repaired) (2)
A Wedgwood 'Ancient and Noble Order of the Bucks' creamware tankard, circa 1780, transfer-printed in black with the arms of the Society, a stag in profile in the centre flanked by two gentleman, framed by garlands and mottos including 'Industry Produceth Wealth' and 'Freedom with Innocence', faintly signed 'Sadler / Liverpool', impressed 'WEDGWOOD', 15.2cm high, 10.5cm diameter (restored) The Society of Bucks met between 1723 and 1820 in numerous pubs in London and Liverpool. Its primary purpose was entertainment with some social conscience, and in its heyday, it was a significant rival to the Freemasons. The club was renowned for its boisterous gatherings and drinking parties during its heyday in the 1760s and 1770s. The Bucks had an affinity for ceramic ornaments with transfer-printed designs echoing those they favoured on paper.
